Is the Bajaj Avenger 150 actually an 'uncle's bike'?
14 January 2025 06:18
I know why people say that, but it’s not quite fair. The Avenger is just a chill bike that appeals to older riders, too. That doesn't mean that young people can't have fun with it.
How does the Avenger 150 fare on longer rides than other bikes in its class?
14 January 2025 06:18
I have ridden my Avenger 150 for a few 300km+ rides and it is surprisingly good. You sit comfy and the riding position is relaxed. They are way better than sport bikes for long hauls.
Let’s see how the Avenger 160 Street fares in long distance touring.
14 January 2025 06:12
With some mods, it can work! Throw a windscreen, a better seat, and some luggage on it and it becomes a pretty decent light tourer. Just backroads, backroads, backroads, enjoy the journey.
Is the Avenger 160 Street outdated?
14 January 2025 06:12
It's definitely seen better days. It all boils down to engine and features that are quite basic compared to its newer counterparts in the segment. It is really time for Bajaj to update it.
The Avenger 160 Street does live up to its 'cruiser' image.
14 January 2025 06:12
I think it really gets the cruiser vibe! It’s perfect for chill rides with the relaxed riding position and low end torque. Not every cruiser has to be a highway monster.
The Avenger 160 Street is a daily commuter.
14 January 2025 06:12
It's perfect for laid back commuters. The Avenger is great if you're not in a rush and you can use it to enjoy your ride to work. If you need to zip through traffic, however, look elsewhere.
Is the Bajaj Avenger 160 Street a good bike for new riders?
14 January 2025 06:12
It's okay, but not ideal. It's not very good with the brakes and performance isn't that great. Trying to compensate for its shortcomings, you may pick up bad habits. You’d learn better fundamentals on a standard naked bike.
So how will the G 580 Edition One’s limited customization options affect its appeal to traditional G-Wagen enthusiasts?
13 January 2025 12:30
Mercedes have made a smart move. By limiting options they streamline production and get an idea of which configurations do and don’t sell so they can do things differently with future models.
Is the G 580's "G Turn" (360 degree spin) really a gimmick or will it be useful?
13 January 2025 12:30
I think we underestimate how useful this could be in cities. Think about parallel parking, or trying to turn around in an alley. This could be a game changer for urban driving.
The G 580 Edition One is all that and more, but is it worth the hype, or do you just pay for a status symbol?
13 January 2025 12:30
Hands down a overpriced status symbol. The range is disappointing for the money and let's be honest, most buyers will never take it off road. It's just a way for rich people to get their eco-friendly on, while they show off at the same time.
But will the G 580's boxy design have a material effect on its real world range?
13 January 2025 12:30
But we'll see how they perform in real world tests. I think it’ll be okay for city driving, but long highway trips might be a little rough. Still, most G-Wagen owners aren't road tripping to begin with.
Does the electric drivetrain of the G 580 improve or deteriorate its off road capabilities?
13 January 2025 12:30
It's a mixed bag. If the batteries are heavy, they will be an issue in soft terrain, but the electric motors will be fantastic for low speed maneuvers. I’d like to see some real world tests before I make a judgment.
Can the Thunderbird 500X be a practical commuter in urban traffic, serving as a daily commuter?
13 January 2025 10:06
It's not perfect but if you feel confident on the bike you can do it. The trick is to plan your routes so you avoid the worst traffic and the tight spaces. It’s actually pretty nimble once you get used to the weight.
Is the Thunderbird 500X a good platform for long distance touring?
13 January 2025 10:06
In India, the Thunderbird 500X is a tourer. Our road conditions are no match for it, parts are abundant, and it’s comfortable enough for long rides. If you’re going to be doing a lot of traveling, just invest in some good luggage solutions.
Is the nostalgia factor of the Thunderbird 500X enough in 2025?
13 January 2025 10:06
It all depends on what you want. The Thunderbird 500X can be fun if you aren't fussed about spending extra time maintaining a bike and just want a cruiser. Now there are better options out there for daily commuting or long tours, but.
In 2025, how does the Thunderbird 500X’s highway performance measure up?
13 January 2025 10:06
It may not win any races, but the Thunderbird 500X is still a respectable highway performer. The engine is torquey and good for all day cruising at 80 to 90 km/h. You won't be doing a lot of high speed overtaking, but don't expect to.
How comfortable is the Thunderbird 350X by 2025 compared to modern cruisers?
13 January 2025 09:56
The cruisers are definitely raising the bar in modern times. Adjustable suspension and electronic ride modes make a world of difference on long rides. If I compare it to the current Thunderbird, as it feels dated.
Is Maintenance and Reliability a deal breaker with the Thunderbird 350X in 2025?
13 January 2025 09:56
I have owned both old and new REs and there is a night and day difference in reliability. The Thunderbird needs a lot more attention and a lot more frequent fixes. It’s charming, but as a daily rider, it can be frustrating.
The Thunderbird 350X, is it really worth the nostalgia factor in 2025?
13 January 2025 09:56
If you’re into the classic RE vibe, it’s absolutely worth it. It’s not the smoothest ride out there, but that’s part of the fun. It lacks modern bells and whistles, but the thumping engine note and head turning looks more than make up for it.
In 2025, how does the Thunderbird 350X fare for long distance touring?
13 January 2025 09:56
I’ve done a couple of long tours on my Thunderbird and it’s been great. Yes, it's not as refined as the newer bikes, but if something were to go wrong it's easy and reliable to fix. If you don’t want to, just invest in some good aftermarket accessories.
