Is the Avenger 160 Street outdated?
For many years now, the Bajaj Avenger 160 Street has been on sale without much change, and as a result, has been pitted against the question of whether it still makes sense in today’s motorcycle market. Its engine, its features, its design — all of it is behind the times, critics say, compared to newer entries in the segment. But supporters say that its simplicity and reliability are strengths in a market full of complex, feature laden bikes. Discussions are happening about whether Bajaj should give the Avenger a major overhaul or if its current formula works for its target audience. Buyers are left wondering if they'd be settling for outdated technology if they bought an Avenger, or if the phrase 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' applies here.
It's definitely seen better days. It all boils down to engine and features that are quite basic compared to its newer counterparts in the segment. It is really time for Bajaj to update it.
