With the car's size and weight, how does the Kodiaq's 1.5 TSI engine cope?
06 January 2025 10:46
I believe it’s fine for most people’s purposes. It’s not going to win any drag races, sure, but how often do you actually need to push your family SUV to the limit?
How user friendly is the Kodiaq's infotainment system?
06 January 2025 10:46
The wireless charging pad has given me trouble: it’s very finicky on how it likes the phone to be placed. Apart from that, no big complaints. For my purposes, it's user friendly enough.
Does the third row of the Skoda Kodiaq really offer usable space?
06 January 2025 10:46
I really think that's more of an emergency option. In the two years that I have had the Kodiaq, I’ve only used it a handful of times. It's nice to have, but I wouldn't buy it for the third row.
Is the Skoda Kodiaq a premium worth the extra outlay over mainstream SUVs?
06 January 2025 10:46
I believe people underestimate the power of good engineering. The chassis tuning and overall driving experience is a cut above a mainstream option, and while the Kodiaq lacks the bells and whistles of a luxury SUV, it’s the best of those mainstream models.
Can we rely on the Skoda Kodiaq to survive the long haul?
06 January 2025 10:46
I was worried about reliability — I had come from Japanese cars. After 50,000 km, though, I was pleasantly surprised. It's solid and well built. But make sure you find a good Skoda specialist for servicing.
How big is the Skoda Kamiq’s boot? And is it big enough for everyday family life or not as spacious at this money?
06 January 2025 10:34
The Kamiq finds a good balance between boot space and rear passenger room for me. They may not have as big boots as some rivals, but they don't come with as little rear legroom. I’d rather have comfortable passengers than a few extra liters of space.
The Skoda Kamiq’s infotainment system; how user friendly and feature packed does it compare with its rivals?
06 January 2025 10:34
I was skeptical about the Kamiq’s infotainment, coming from a premium brand. I was pleasantly surprised, though. The screen is crisp, it’s responsive, and it has every feature I need. It's not as fancy as an Audi, but it works and doesn't fuss about it.
Is the Skoda Kamiq's rear legroom as good as they say it is?
06 January 2025 10:34
I feel the hype is a little overblown. Yes, the legroom is good, but it’s not a mind blowing. It’s just as spacious in the back as my friend’s Seat Arona. It's probably just Skoda doing a good job of marketing whatever it is they're marketing.
How does the Skoda Kamiq ride in comparison to its rivals and on rough roads?
06 January 2025 10:34
It’s very good ride quality, but the thing that really stands out to me is the noise insulation. It’s pretty quiet in the cabin, even on rough roads. That makes the whole experience feel a bit more premium than some of the more expensive competitors.
Do the Skoda Kamiq's 'Simply Clever' features really turn out to be useful, or are they just marketing gimics?
06 January 2025 10:34
I’ve owned a few cars and Skoda’s attention to detail is something I notice. Yes, some of these features may seem like gimmicks, but it’s nice to see that the company is thinking about real world usability. The LED flashlight has been useful in roadside emergencies.
Are some owners right and the Skoda Felicia really 'unroastable'?
06 January 2025 10:26
It’s unroastable in the same way a Nokia 3310 is – yeah it’s tough, but would you really want to use one today?
Should the Skoda Felicia be brought back into the modern era?
06 January 2025 10:26
Absolutely! What we need is more simple, reliable cars. Skoda's answer to Dacia could be a modern Felicia.
Is the Skoda Felicia Fun the coolest compact pickup ever?
06 January 2025 10:26
Some cooler compact pickups are out there. Taking the crown is the Subaru BRAT with rear facing seats.
Was the Skoda Felicia really 'fooling the world' as some claim?
06 January 2025 10:26
It fooled nobody in the world, but it did catch a lot of people by surprise. That's just good marketing and good product development.
Was the Skoda Felicia a missed opportunity when it came to selling in the US?
06 January 2025 10:26
The timing was all wrong. Because of Cold War tensions, it would have been nearly impossible to sell a Czech car in the US.
Should buyers wait for the Enyaq, or are there alternatives worth considering?
06 January 2025 10:23
In fact, it actually worked in my favor, the long wait. When I got my Enyaq, it had the latest software updates and a couple of minor improvements by the time. Waiting isn’t always a bad thing if you don’t have somewhere to be.
How do you rate on build quality and reliability compared in the Enyaq to other Skoda models?
06 January 2025 10:23
The Enyaq feels as well built as you’d come to expect from a VW. Skoda has done a great job of transitioning to EVs without losing quality, I think. It is most certainly up there with the more expensive brands.
Is the practicality of the Enyaq worth that extra cost compared to ICE Skoda?
06 January 2025 10:23
The price definitely justifies the practicality of the Enyaq for me. It’s so much more usable than my old Kodiaq thanks to the huge boot, flat floor and clever storage solutions. I'm also saving a ton on fuel costs.
What is the Enyaq’s real world range compared to official figures?
06 January 2025 10:23
For daily driving the range is fine, but it’s the inconsistency that bugs me. I’ll get great range sometimes and other times it will drop much faster than you’d expect. It tends to make planning longer trips a bit stressful.
Can the Skoda Elroq's interior tech and features give more premium EVs a run for their money?
06 January 2025 10:18
The tech lineup is impressive, and that AR heads up display is what impresses me. Skoda is stepping up their game, and it’s great to see. So let’s be real, at the end of the day, it’s all about the software experience. All that fancy hardware won’t mean much if it’s laggy or unintuitive.
