Can we rely on the Skoda Kodiaq to survive the long haul?

The Skoda Kodiaq is a premium offering and reliability is a very important factor to consider when purchasing any vehicle, but even more so when it’s a premium vehicle. Skoda has come a long way in improving its reputation for reliability in recent years, but some potential buyers are still cautious because of the brand’s past reputation. The Kodiaq’s relatively complex engineering, which includes turbocharged engines and dual clutch transmissions, also throws another wrinkle into the reliability question. These components are often the topic of long term durability debate between owners and enthusiasts, especially in comparison to simpler, more established designs from some Japanese and Korean competitors. Metrics and discussions often include maintenance costs, support by a dealer network, availability of spare parts, etc, which all contribute to a perception of overall vehicle reliability and the all around ownership experience.

I’ve had my Kodiaq for three years now and it’s been rock solid. None of it was a big deal, it was just normal maintenance. Skoda has really improved in terms of reliability, I think.
