Does the third row of the Skoda Kodiaq really offer usable space?

The Skoda Kodiaq is marketed as a seven seater SUV but the third row is often discussed in terms of practicality by potential buyers and owners. There’s something to be said for having the option of two additional seats, for families or for those who might need to transport more passengers occasionally, but the usability of these seats in the day to day is questionable. Legroom, headroom and ease of access are important factors, as well as comfort for adults and children. On top of that, the effect of using the third row on cargo space is a factor for many. The Kodiaq's third row is argued by some to be more of a '5+2' than a true seven seater, though some find it perfectly adequate. Most of the time, the conversation revolves around real world usage scenarios and how the third row fares against the competition in its class.

Definitely tight back there, but works for kids or short adults on short trips. But I wouldn't want to be trapped there for a long trip.
