Can Avinya X really deliver on the promised 500+ km range in real world?
22 January 2025 11:20
I really think they are going to do it. Tata has been pouring money into battery tech, and if they didn't have the goods to back that claim up, they wouldn't be making it.
Is Tata's premium positioning of the Avinya X a smart move?
22 January 2025 11:20
I think it's brilliant. Tata is the perfect opportunity to reposition itself in the EV market. If they can pull off the Avinya X, it can completely redefine what people think of the whole brand.
Is the Tata Avinya X a Tesla killer?
22 January 2025 11:20
Don't underestimate Tata. But they’ve been killing it with EVs lately and the Avinya X looks seriously impressive. It may not be a global Tesla killer, but it can certainly be a 'Tesla killer' in the Indian market.
Can the MG Comet find a place in the market among players like Tata Tiago EV?
07 January 2025 08:04
The Comet can definitely compete, I think. The Tiago is just an electrified version of a regular car, whereas the S1 offers something really different. The Comet's small size is a big plus for city dwellers.
Is the Tata Magic IRIS culturally significant in terms of Indian automotive engineering?
06 January 2025 12:26
That's significant because it solves a problem that's uniquely Indian. Its looks aren't what makes it culturally important, but that.
Can the Tata Magic IRIS be a practical solution to last mile connectivity in Indian cities?
06 January 2025 12:26
It's a mixed bag. It’s great for rural areas, but cities will have to deal with more traffic chaos. We don't need more vehicles; we need better urban planning.
Should Tata Magic IRIS be allowed as a school transport vehicle?
06 January 2025 12:26
It's a tough call. In ideal world, no. In reality, it is filling a gap in our transport system. It needs to be improved, not banned.
Are traditional auto rickshaw drivers losing out to the Tata Magic IRIS which is unfairly taking their business?
06 January 2025 12:26
Both have their place. Autos are better for personal point to point travel and Magic IRIS is better for shared routes.
Could the Tata Magic IRIS be a successful electric vehicle for urban use?
06 January 2025 12:26
Definitely! It’s the right size and urban use for electric conversion. It could be a game changer for clean city transport.
Can Kia Clavis match Tata Punch’s safety reputation?
03 January 2025 11:49
If Kia comes close to matching the safety and can do better tech, they have a winner. The Punch is great, but it’s a pretty basic punch in some areas.
Is the Exter a better bet than more established rivals, such as the Tata Punch?
02 January 2025 10:30
They are both good cars, but the Exter feels more modern and car like. That's largely dependent on whether you want a mini-SUV feel or something a little more traditional.
Is the Ai3 capable of taking on the Tata Punch?
02 January 2025 07:05
One reason for the Punch's success is that it lacks strong competitors. The Ai3 doesn’t have to be better, it just has to be good enough to be a viable alternative.
Does the extra price of the XUV400 over the Tata Nexon EV justify its performance?
02 January 2025 05:54
It is great performance but I'm not sure it's worth the price difference. Tata has a little more experience in the EV game and Mahindra is still new. The Nexon would make me feel safer.
Should Tata Ace drivers be given a special license category?
26 December 2024 12:52
Absolutely. Driving the Ace isn't like driving other vehicles and requires a special skill to do safely. Drivers could be properly trained, and in fact, it may even professionalize the industry, if they got a special license.
Is the Tata Ace just a case of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' or is the design outdated?
26 December 2024 12:52
The Ace is held back from new markets by the current design. If they want to export it, they will have to bring it up to international standards, and that probably means a redesign.
The Tata Ace – is it really the 'Workhorse of India' or just a safety hazard on wheels?
26 December 2024 12:52
The vehicle is not to blame for bad driving. The problem is not the Ace, the Ace is just a tool, it's how people use it. We don't need to bash a vehicle that has helped so many people make a living, we need better driver training and stricter enforcement of loading limits.
Why are Tata Ace drivers always on a hurry?
26 December 2024 12:52
And as someone who has worked in logistics, I can tell you, it's all about the numbers. Because these guys are paid per delivery, every minute counts. I know they drive like that, it’s not right, but I get why they do.
Is India's entrepreneurial spirit or its economic desperation on display in the popularity of the Tata Ace?
26 December 2024 12:52
It's a stepping stone. Or maybe it starts with an Ace, but I've seen guys grow from that to having multiple trucks and running actual logistics companies. It's starting people, which is more than a lot of government programs do.
How fuel efficient is the Altroz iTurbo, as claimed by Tata?
26 December 2024 12:45
In mixed driving I get about 14-15 km/l. They’re not bad, but they’re hardly reaching the claimed figures.
Can the Tata Avinya's 'born electric' platform edge out converted ICE vehicles?
26 December 2024 12:23
But I’m more interested in the battery tech and the charging capabilities. If those aren’t competitive, the platform type doesn’t matter as much.
