Why does the XBlade's headlight design look so different?
17 January 2025 06:40
I love it! The LED headlight is super cool looking, X-shaped, and really makes the bike look aggressive in front. Definitely an eye catcher.
What is the XBlade’s performance on long rides?
17 January 2025 06:40
Surprisingly well! I've done a few 300 km trips on my XBlade, and it was completely comfortable. It really helps with the upright seating position on long rides.
What long-distance adventure trip modifications would you make to the XRE 300 Sahara?
17 January 2025 06:33
I’d start with a bigger fuel tank, first things first. The stock range isn’t bad, but if you’re looking for real adventure riding, you want to go further between fill-ups. Then a bit of good crash bars and a skid plate to protect.
Would the XRE 300 Sahara make it to the US market if Honda were to import it?
17 January 2025 06:33
Absolutely! What the US market needs are more affordable, mid-sized adventure bikes. If you are new to the game or just want something a little more manageable than a well-equipped adventure bike, then the XRE 300 Sahara could be a great entry.
What’s the difference between the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the XRE 300 Sahara?
17 January 2025 06:33
I’ve ridden both, and I’d say the XRE 300 Sahara is better for on-road and daily use, while the Himalayan will be better in serious off-road situations. Witha lower seat height and a more laidback riding position, the Himalayan’s not as tricky to handle in tricky terrain.
Is the Honda XRE 300 Sahara the ultimate adventure bike for South America?
17 January 2025 06:33
Ok, let's be real here: the “ultimate” adventure bike is subjective; it all depends on the rider and the specific type of adventure you are looking at. So the XRE 300 Sahara isn’t going to be the best choice for everything, with more extreme terrain or long highway travel being issues.
Is the Honda XRE 300 a beginner adventure rider’s worst nightmare?
17 January 2025 06:28
The size and confidence of the rider make a difference. The XRE 300 could be perfect for taller beginners. The seat height could be chopped short, making it difficult for shorter riders.
On longer stretches of highway, how does the Honda XRE 300 fare compared to bigger adventure bikes?
17 January 2025 06:28
After hours on the highway, I love how nimble the XRE 300 feels in traffic. If you try lane splitting on a big ADV bike, you will understand why we like smaller bikes.
Which budget adventure touring option do you prefer, the Honda XRE 300 or the Royal Enfield Himalayan?
17 January 2025 06:28
On rough roads, the Himalayan feels more planted. The XRE 300 has shorter suspension travel, which doesn’t absorb bumps as well as that of its larger sibling.
Does the Honda XRE 300 have the chops for serious off-road riding, or is it a street-biased adventure bike?
17 January 2025 06:28
In my opinion, this is ideal for adventure riding, which includes both on- and off-road stages. It does neither of them very well, but manages to do both well enough.
Should you buy the Honda XRE 300 instead of the CRF300L Rally for long-distance adventure riding?
17 January 2025 06:28
For long-distance adventures, the XRE 300 is the way to go. It's a tank built, and it has better fuel efficiency. The ones I've taken, on multiple 1000+ mile trips, have worked out just fine.
What’s new with the E-Clutch on the 2024 CB650R?
17 January 2025 06:17
But I hope that it doesn’t give people an excuse to be lazy about learning proper technique since it’s great for beginners.
How does a bike like the CB650R fare on long-distance touring in comparison with dedicated touring bikes?
17 January 2025 06:17
Surprisingly, I’ve done a 1000-mile trip on the CB650R, and it was comfortable! All you need to do is add a windscreen, and you're good to go.
Is the Honda CB650R good for beginners?
17 January 2025 06:17
I began on a smaller bike, but if I had known what I know now, I would have gone with the CB650R. It's so much fun!
When compared to the CBR650R, how does the CB650R ride?
17 January 2025 06:17
I certainly do agree; however, at velocity, the CBR650R feels a much more planted feeling. You're going for a trade-off between comfort and performance.
What modifications should you do to your Honda CB650R?
17 January 2025 06:17
But don’t forget the suspension! Adjustable forks can make a huge difference if you upgrade.
So, how does the NX500’s suspension fare on Indian roads?
16 January 2025 07:16
The NX500’s suspension gets a lot of hate from people, and I think that’s too harsh. It’s not an off-roader, hardcore. It’s more than capable for the kind of mixed riding most people do, including some light trails. Don't expect GS-level performance, though.
Is the Honda NX500 worth the extra dollars?
16 January 2025 07:16
It's a tough call. It is a great bike, but the price makes it a weird place. It’s not as capable off-road as some dedicated adventure bikes, and it’s pricier than most street-focused options. It’s a jack of all trades, master of none.
How does the NX500 fare when it comes to city traffic compared to other adventure bikes?
16 January 2025 07:16
It's okay, but not ideal. While shorter riders will find the height intimidating in stop-and-go situations, and the turning radius isn't great for U-turns on narrow streets. It’s a manageable bike, but there are better bikes for pure city riding.
Can the CB500X get around for daily ride purposes and highway use?
16 January 2025 07:00
It’s not about the power; it’s about what you do with it. It's more fun to use 100% of this bike’s potential than 50% of a more powerful bike.
