How does the Transalp's parallel-twin engine compare to V-twins in terms of character and rideability?
21 January 2025 10:53
The parallel-twin in the Transalp is smooth as butter. Yes, it doesn’t have that V-twin rumble to it, but it has plenty of character and pulls like a train in the midrange.
Does the Transalp's lack of tubeless wheels limit its adventure potential?
21 January 2025 10:53
The lack of tubeless wheels is disappointing, but it's not the end of the world. You can always convert them to tubeless with aftermarket kits if it bothers you that much.
Is the Honda XL750 Transalp a true adventure bike or just a road-biased tourer?
21 January 2025 10:52
I'd say it's a true adventure bike. It can handle light off-road stuff, which is more than enough for 90% of riders. Plus, it's way more comfortable on long highway stretches than some of the more dirt-focused bikes.
Why hasn't Honda updated the Unicorn 160's design?
21 January 2025 10:44
It's a missed opportunity. Honda could've evolved the design while keeping the Unicorn's essence. Look at what Royal Enfield did with the Classic 350.
Is the Honda Unicorn 160 still the king of refinement in its segment?
21 January 2025 10:44
It might not be the absolute best anymore, but it's still in the top tier. And that consistency over the years is impressive in itself.
Has Honda dropped the ball with the Unicorn 160's headlight?
21 January 2025 10:44
I think it's a deliberate choice by Honda to keep costs down. They're banking on the Unicorn's reputation for reliability to overshadow these shortcomings.
Is the Honda Unicorn 160 still relevant in 2025?
21 January 2025 10:44
I think it depends on what you're looking for. If you want a no-nonsense commuter that'll run forever, the Unicorn is still a solid choice. But if you're after performance or tech features, look elsewhere.
What's the deal with the Unicorn 160's kick-start issues?
21 January 2025 10:44
This issue is making me reconsider buying a unicorn. I know it's just the kick-start, but it makes me wonder what other corners Honda might be cutting.
Tell us your funniest or most embarrassing moment on a Honda Unicorn GP.
17 January 2025 07:29
I was so focused on getting my new GP to break in that I didn't realize I was almost out of fuel. I ended up pushing it to a petrol pump all decked out in my new riding gear. What a humbling experience!
What is the most ridiculous mod on a Honda Unicorn GP?
17 January 2025 07:29
There is someone in my riding group who has a Unicorn GP with a custom-painted sidecar. It’s not totally impractical for lane splitting, but actually pretty cool.
If Honda were to produce a 250cc version of the Unicorn GP, what would you want in it?
17 January 2025 07:29
I don’t want sportiness; I want a 250cc Unicorn GP that has been set up for touring comfort. The fuel tank is larger, provides better wind protection, and, perhaps, cruise control.
In this post, let us take a look at whether the Honda Unicorn GP really lives up to the hype.
17 January 2025 07:29
It’s totally hype, but not in the way Honda probably hoped. Unicorn enthusiasts now regard the GP edition as a collector’s item. While the performance gains are marginal at best, it’s a bit of unique Honda history.
What is the difference between the Honda Unicorn GP and other 150cc bikes while riding for a long time?
17 January 2025 07:29
I can say that I have done a 500 km trip on my Unicorn GP, which is surprisingly comfortable. This really helps on long rides with its upright seating position.
What would the Honda Unicorn 150 (Old Model) have to say about its riders if it could talk?
17 January 2025 07:22
If these wheels could talk, well, I guess they can now if they could talk. I've been to some places that Google Maps hasn't even heard of," I say.
I also want to know, what’s the weirdest modification you have seen on a Honda Unicorn 150?
17 January 2025 07:22
In my neighborhood there is a guy who converted his Unicorn into a mobile chai stall. He welded in a small counter and put containers for tea near it and for snacks. It's actually pretty cool!
Tell us about your most memorable road trip experience on a Honda Unicorn 150.
17 January 2025 07:22
The craziest thing I ever did was accidentally join a massive motorcycle rally. There were hundreds of Harleys and sports bikes but I was the only Unicorn. The big bike guys gave them a lot of respect.
What’s the craziest thing you have ever carried on your Honda Unicorn 150?
17 January 2025 07:22
I once loaded a full-sized refrigerator onto my unicorn. I strapped it to the back and rode very, very slowly. They still don't believe me, my friends!
Do people say the Honda Unicorn 150 (old model) is really that reliable?
17 January 2025 07:22
It’s all up to how you treat it. Take care of your unicorn, and your unicorn will take care of you. My car's gone to 120,000 km, and I still hear it purr.
Does the VFR1200F cut the mustard?
17 January 2025 07:10
It depends, I think, on what you’re looking for. Maybe not if you want raw, visceral excitement. But not for a refined, powerful sport touring experience? It's spot on.
Is the VFR1200F being overlooked in the sport-touring segment?
17 January 2025 07:10
I think I’m in a secret club as an owner. I have everyone who rides my VFR1200F impressed, but it’s quite a rare bike and not many people seem to have heard of it.
