Hyundai i10 1.1 Magna (Petrol)
About
The Hyundai i10 1.1 Magna (Petrol) is equipped with a 1.1-litre, 4-cylinder iRDE engine that produces 68.05 bhp of power and 99 Nm of torque. This engine is known for its refinement and smooth operation, making it ideal for city driving. The car features a 5-speed manual transmission and comes with amenities such as power windows, power steering, and a comfortable beige interior. The Magna variant also includes features like central locking, keyless entry, and a rear seat armrest. The vehicle offers decent rear space, though shoulder room is a bit tight. With its high sitting posture, large windows, and soft suspension, the i10 provides excellent visibility and comfort, making it a reliable choice for daily commuting and occasional long-distance trips. However, it lacks advanced safety features, which is a notable omission.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hyundai i10 1.1 Magna (Petrol) is a solid choice for those seeking a reliable and easy-to-drive city car. I appreciate its refined 1.1-litre petrol engine, which is smooth, silent, and adequately powerful for urban commuting. The light steering and clutch make it a joy to navigate through congested city roads. However, the ride can be bouncy at higher speeds, and the lack of safety features such as airbags and ABS is a significant drawback. Despite these limitations, the i10s comfortable interiors, decent rear space, and features like power windows, power steering, and a powerful air-conditioner make it a practical and no-nonsense vehicle for daily use.
Price
The Hyundai i10 1.1 Magna (Petrol) was priced around Rs. 4.62 lakh ex-showroom in its discontinued state. On-road prices would have varied depending on the state and local taxes, but you could expect to add around Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 70,000 to the ex-showroom price, bringing the total to approximately Rs. 5.32 lakh to Rs. 5.52 lakh. While these prices are for the discontinued model, they give an idea of the vehicles value proposition. If youre considering a used model, prices will be significantly lower, reflecting the cars age and condition.

The Hyundai i10 1.1 Magna, known for its compact design and efficient engine, has been discontinued in the Indian market. This decision was made as part of Hyundais strategy to focus on newer models like the Grand i10 Nios. The i10 Magna was popular for its ease of handling and refined 1.1L iRDE2 petrol engine. I think this move will pave the way for more advanced and feature-rich vehicles from Hyundai.

In recent years, the Hyundai i10 1.1 Magna saw a slight increase in its on-road price in Delhi, reaching around Rs 5 lakh. This price adjustment was due to various market factors and the addition of some new features such as central locking with key and internally adjustable ORVMs. The car remained a value-for-money option in its segment.

The Hyundai i10 1.1 Magna was praised for its fuel efficiency, offering a mileage of 19.81 kmpl, which made it a favorite among city drivers. Its 1086 cc engine provided a balance between power and fuel economy, making it a practical choice for daily commuting. I believe this aspect was a significant selling point for the vehicle.

One of the notable features of the Hyundai i10 1.1 Magna was its suspension system, which included a McPherson strut with coil spring at the front and a coupled torsion beam axle with coil spring at the rear. This setup provided a comfortable ride, especially in urban conditions. The cars ground clearance of 165 mm also helped in navigating Indian roads.

Reviews Submitted by Maxabout Community
Luxury feel in this budget and value for money. Nice family car for city riders. Petrol engine with 1200cc is a powerful combination.
Best Features: Interiors & Pick up
Pros: Pick up, Interiors, AC Cooling & Durability.
Cons: Defoggers missing
I am using it for more than 10 years. It's very handy especially in city traffic and narrow roads. Gear lever positioned near to steering making gear shift easy. Even though maintenance free, I have to change silencers after 4-5 years, stabiliser bar broken after 5000 kms. It's a good car if you are not much worried about mileage. On highways 15-16 kmpl, city traffic 10-12 kmpl
Best Features: Stronger Body, Nice Interiors
Pros: Drivability, good looking, better interiors, comfort, better accessibility to gear lever
Cons: Poor milage, lower pick up
Good car for city ride. Front seats are much more comfortable compared to the rear but all provided futures are not good enough for this cost.
Best Features: All average
Pros: Compact size for city traffic
Cons: ABS is not there

Hyundai i10 1.1 Magna (Petrol) Discussion
Good car, i am using it for last 3 years, fantastic in small car segment
Can ABS be fitted in my i10 Era model, can any one give me suitable reply?
Can sny one tell the actual mileage of this car.?
Hi Friends,
Just saw some reviews on i10, I want to tell all of you friends that Hyundai i10 is having Gear Box problem. One of my friend purchased Hyundai i10 car on 5th feb from Panchavati Hyundai, Nashik, Maharashtra.
The second day before crossing 250 kms that car got Locked because of faulty gear box. This is third case in front of me. Hyundai people are not capable to accept their mistakes. Their QA department is also worst. It's my suggestion for all of you not to buy Hyundai i10 car & in future don't trust on Hyundai people & their Dealers.
Regards
Vijay Pathak
