Maruti Suzuki has launched a new Swift Blitz edition, which includes the LXi variant, among others. This special edition adds accessories worth Rs 50,000, such as a rear underbody spoiler, front fog lamps, and side body cladding, making the entry-level variants look more premium. The Swift Blitz edition starts at Rs 6.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.85 lakh. I believe these cosmetic updates will attract buyers looking for a bit of extra flair without breaking the bank.

Maruti Suzuki officially launched the fourth-generation Swift in India on May 9, 2024, with the LXi being the base variant. Priced at Rs 6.49 lakh, the LXi comes with a new Z-series 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. The new Swift also features a redesigned dashboard, automatic climate control, and six airbags as standard. I believe the combination of new features and the familiar Swift design will make it a strong contender in the hatchback segment.

The new Maruti Swift, including the LXi variant, boasts significant interior changes, such as a free-standing 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system in higher variants, though the LXi will get a smaller 7-inch unit. The Maruti Swift LXi, along with other variants, has started reaching dealerships ahead of its launch in May 2024. This fourth-generation Swift features a new 1.2-litre Z-series 3-cylinder petrol engine, producing 81 bhp and 112 Nm of peak torque. The LXi variant, being the base model, will likely miss out on some of the advanced features but will still offer a refreshed design and improved performance. I think this new generation will be a hit, given the Swifts historical popularity.

Maruti Suzuki has started taking bookings for the new Swift, including the LXi variant, with a token amount of Rs 11,000. The new Swift is expected to offer better fuel efficiency, with an ARAI-certified mileage of 24.80 kmpl for the manual transmission. I believe the early booking option will generate significant interest and pre-launch buzz for the model.

I got my Swift ZXi in May, 2010 and now I have completed 40,000 kms on it. It has got a superb engine and driving it is a real joy. Yeah its steering get heavy at slow speeds but overall its fun to ride at high speeds. It supports ABS system that make my hill trips amazing as it perform really well. It never let me down on curvy roads and I just enjoyed every ride whether it is on city roads or highways. I am getting 14-15 kmpl average on city and 18-19 on highways. I am pretty satisfied with its performance. Inside the cabin, the company has provided comfy seats, Ac vents, spacious legroom and lots of spaces to keep important stuff. On the bad side, its boot space is bit short which creates problem when I have to go for long vacation with my family members.

Best Features: In built audio system, powerful air conditioner, steering adjustment, All black interiors, instrument cluster looks superb
