Maruti Swift ZXi (Old Model)

About
The Maruti Swift ZXi, from the 2010-2014 era, is a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable and feature-rich hatchback. This variant comes with a 1.2-liter K-Series petrol engine, known for its smooth performance and decent fuel economy. The car handles well, with minimal body roll and good steering response, although the suspension could be better tuned to handle Indian road conditions. The interior is well-appointed, with features like key reminders, low fuel warnings, and an all-new speedo LED display. However, the rear seat space is somewhat limited, and the boot space could be more generous. Safety features, such as ABS, are missing in some variants, which is a notable concern. Despite these drawbacks, the Swift ZXi remains a popular choice due to its comfort, performance, and Marutis robust after-sales service network.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Maruti Swift ZXi, particularly the older models from around 2010-2014, is a well-rounded vehicle that has garnered a loyal following in India. While it excels in terms of styling, comfort, and handling, there are some areas that could be improved. The cars exterior design is stylish and appealing, although some users have noted that the rear tail lamp design and bumper proportions could be better. The interior is plush, especially in the ZXi variant, with features like chrome finishes, electrically operated ORVMs, and a modern speedo LED display. However, the rear seat space, though slightly enhanced, remains a bit cramped. The engine performance is commendable, with good pickup and fuel economy, but the absence of ABS in mid variants is a significant drawback. Overall, its a good value for money, but potential buyers should weigh the pros and cons, especially regarding safety features and rear space.
Price
The prices for the Maruti Swift ZXi, specifically the 2010-2014 models, have varied over time but can be gauged from their historical context. At the time of launch, the ex-showroom price for the ZXi variant was around 5.5 to 6.5 lakhs, depending on the location. On-road prices, including taxes and other costs, would have been approximately 6.5 to 7.5 lakhs. Today, if youre looking to purchase a used 2010-2014 model, prices can range from 2.5 to 4.5 lakhs, depending on the condition, mileage, and location of the vehicle. This makes the Swift ZXi a viable option for those seeking a reliable and feature-packed hatchback without breaking the bank.

Swift Zxi 1.2L K-Series 2011

I bought this car from 2011 and It's 1.2L K-Series ZXI variant which is the first K-series engine of Maruti, the mileage is increased bit like 2-4 kmpl. The performance of the engine is excellent, but still does not match the performance of 1.3 G13B older engine of esteem which was faster than 1.2 but still this car is very good. The suspension is stiffer side and bit heavy to control but the feedback of the steering is just Fabulous, body roll is decent, ABS, EBD and climate control is my favourite feature if we are talking about build quality It's 1000x times much better than current swift the reliability is brilliant as an enthusiast practicality is decent. That's it.

Best Features: ABS,EBD and climate control is the best feature in ZXI variant.

Pros: The performance of the engine is fantastic, Build quality is 1000x times much better than new 3rd gen swift and 2nd gen stability is great the stiffness of the suspension.

Cons: Alloys size could have been 15 inch, rattling from dashboard, music system is not that great, the quality of plastics.
