Latest Updates
Saturday, 11 March 2017 05:30 PM Hyundai has discontinued the production of the Hyundai i10 in India, marking the end of an era for this popular compact hatchback. The decision was made to make way for newer models, including the Grand i10 Nios. The i10 had been a staple in Hyundais lineup since its launch in 2009. I think this move will allow Hyundai to focus on more modern and feature-rich vehicles.
Saturday, 20 February 2016 11:27 AM The Hyundai i10s safety rating was downgraded by the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP) from two stars to just one star. This downgrade highlighted concerns over the vehicles safety features, particularly the lack of airbags and ABS in some variants. I believe this downgrade is a significant concern for potential buyers who prioritize safety.
Tuesday, 10 September 2013 04:15 PM In September 2013, Hyundai launched the second generation of the i10 in India. This new model was larger and more feature-rich than its predecessor, offering improved interior space and new design elements inspired by Hyundais Fluidic Sculpture design language. The launch was seen as a strategic move to retain market share in the competitive compact hatchback segment. I think the new design and features made it a compelling choice for many buyers.
Tuesday, 01 September 2009 05:43 AM The original Hyundai i10, launched in 2009, saw a significant boost in sales due to the governments Scrappage Scheme. This scheme encouraged owners to trade in their old vehicles for new ones, leading to a surge in demand for the i10. For a brief period, the i10 became the best-selling car in the country. I believe this scheme was a game-changer for Hyundais sales figures at the time.
Saturday, 15 August 2009 08:27 PM When the Hyundai i10 was first introduced in 2009, it replaced the underwhelming Amica and quickly gained popularity for its appealing design and robust features. The i10 was praised for its refined 1.1-litre petrol engine and comfortable driving experience, making it a favorite among city drivers. I think the i10 set a new standard for compact hatchbacks in India.
Monday, 20 July 2009 03:53 PM Hyundais decision to launch the i10 in India was part of a broader strategy to expand its market presence in the compact hatchback segment. The i10 was designed to be more spacious and feature-rich compared to its competitors, making it an attractive option for Indian buyers. I believe this strategy helped Hyundai establish a strong foothold in the Indian market.
Tuesday, 16 June 2009 12:42 AM The Hyundai i10 was notable for its two-tone beige and light brown interior color scheme in certain markets, along with chrome and silver accents. The interior design was a step up from its predecessor, offering a more premium feel. I think the interior updates were a nice touch, enhancing the overall driving experience.
Wednesday, 20 May 2009 04:17 PM In the initial launch phase, the Hyundai i10 was available with various engine options, including a 1.1-litre and 1.2-litre petrol engine, as well as an LPG variant for efficiency-conscious buyers. This range of options helped cater to different consumer preferences. I believe offering multiple engine options was a smart move by Hyundai.
Wednesday, 15 April 2009 05:07 PM The Hyundai i10 was praised for its easy-to-drive nature, thanks to its light steering and clutch combo, making it ideal for city driving. The powerful air-conditioner was another standout feature, quickly cooling down the cabin even in hot weather. I think these features made the i10 a joy to drive in urban conditions.
Tuesday, 10 March 2009 10:00 AM At its launch, the Hyundai i10 was positioned as a benchmark for cars in its segment, offering a blend of style, comfort, and performance. The vehicles design, inspired by Hyundais Fluidic Sculpture language, was particularly appreciated for its modern and sleek look. I believe the i10s design set a new trend in the compact hatchback market.

Good Car For Small Family

I am using it for more than 10 years. It's very handy especially in city traffic and narrow roads. Gear lever positioned near to steering making gear shift easy. Even though maintenance free, I have to change silencers after 4-5 years, stabiliser bar broken after 5000 kms. It's a good car if you are not much worried about mileage. On highways 15-16 kmpl, city traffic 10-12 kmpl

Best Features: Stronger Body, Nice Interiors

Pros: Drivability, good looking, better interiors, comfort, better accessibility to gear lever

Cons: Poor milage, lower pick up
