Our take on this /// Verdict
The Yamaha Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid Monster Energy MotoGP Edition is a compelling package for those looking for a stylish, feature-rich, and performance-oriented scooter. The special editions cosmetic upgrades, including the Yamaha MotoGP branding and distinctive color scheme, add a unique touch that sets it apart from the standard models. The scooters 125cc fuel-injected hybrid engine, producing 8.2 HP and 10.3 Nm of torque, ensures robust performance and decent fuel efficiency. The inclusion of features like a digital instrument cluster, LED headlight, and Unified Braking System (UBS) enhances both safety and convenience. However, the lack of significant mechanical upgrades in this special edition might make some potential buyers consider the standard variants for better value. Overall, its a great choice for those who value style and the prestige of a MotoGP-inspired design.
Price
The Yamaha Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid Monster Energy MotoGP Edition is priced competitively in the Indian market. With an ex-showroom price of around Rs 81,330, it positions itself as a premium offering within the 125cc scooter segment. When considering the on-road price, which includes additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other fees, the total comes to approximately Rs 95,000 to Rs 100,000, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing makes it a bit more expensive than the base drum brake variant but still within reach for many buyers looking for a feature-packed scooter with a unique design.

With an approximate mileage of 71.33 kmpl, it stands out as a fuel-efficient option in the 125cc scooter segment. Max speed is 89km per hour I personally took it to that speed, it had been 4 months since I bought still people in market praise it, it had got the best finishing with wings on the handle which give it a racing look.
Best Features: Speed and look
Pros: got the best finishing with wings on the handle
Cons: Milage is just 25kmpl
It gives a mileage of 35-40 kmpl. I think it will improve with my first service.
Best Features: Mileage, Engine
Pros: Style
Cons: No complaints
I am frustrated from its mileage. Is there any replacement policy?
Best Features: pick up, nice looks and light weight!
Pros: smooth engine, enough space
Cons: 25 kmpl of mileage only
This bike is sleek and easy to handle, especially for short people. Center stand is very hard to use. The electric start of the bike constantly has starting trouble and needs to be fixed every time. The bike has good looks and pocket friendly maintenance cost except the electric start service of course.

Yamaha Ray is a well-balanced scooter with excellent mileage and sharp handling. The triangular instrument cluster uses clear lens for amazing visibility, be it day or night. Seat comfort is spot on for both pillion and rider and the seat fabric is also of good quality. Seat height is low so that anybody can get their feet down comfortably. If you are under 5 feet tall, you can still handle this scooty well. Surprisingly my friend who is 5' 11” use this scooter for short runs but for long rides it is not comfortable. Being lightweight and compact automatically improves the fuel efficiency and one can expect best in class figures around the 45 km mark. The tail lamp is attractive and quite modern looking. The build quality is excellent and everything seems well put together. The most important thing is that it doesn't look feminine at all and can be ridden by everyone. It is quite lightweight and can be handled by any person easily whether he or she is young or old. The drawback is that it has a weak horn which sometimes create problem in crowded areas. The footrest are not proper which is another negative point of this scooter.
Best Features: Lightweight & Smooth Engine
Pros: Brakes, build quality, light weight, smooth engine, excellent handling, great styling
Cons: Low horn, Improper footrest
