UM Xtreet 250X Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
UM Xtreet 250X is an upcoming street fighter that looks highly inspired from KTM Duke series of motorcycles. It feels more like a Red version of KTM’s Orange league as UM used Red frame, alloy wheels and sticker options on this motorcycle. The X moniker is seen in a bright Red shade over the fuel tank. The first sight of Xtreet 250X reveals an exactly same frame as KTM 200 Duke, further carrying similarities in terms of fuel tank design, seating layout and even the under seat panels. It looks like they are a thinner version of visible components and further adding practical additions like rear grab rail and side mounted exhaust for better ground clearance.
The engine powering Xtreet 250X is 223cc in displacement and brings an air cooled setup for cost-cutting. The carburetor fed setup is also in use in Duty 230 in a different tune, resulting in more chances of Xtreet 250X arrival in coming months. The engine is good for 16.4 HP at 6600 rpm and 19.6 Nm at 5100 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The expected price tag of INR 1.2 lakh also makes the fact clear that UM will place this as Yamaha FZ25 rival. Still, the values are much lower in comparison and may not affect FZ25 at all. Xtreet 250X comes with USD front forks and that surely means more premium feel in front of others.
Xtreet 250X measures 2080 mm in length, 750 mm in width and 1120 mm in height. The seat height is a bit high at 820 mm while wheelbase stands healthy at 1370 mm. Front and rear wheel offer disc brakes for a safer ride while 110mm front and 140mm rear tyre guarantee optimum grip levels. All digital instrument console on Xtreet 250X will be easy to read and practical for everyday use.
