The bikes 225cc engine, producing 20.1 bhp and 19.93 Nm of torque, is tuned for strong low-end and mid-range torque, making it agile and easy to maneuver in city traffic. The dual-channel ABS with different sensitivity modes, including Rain and Urban riding modes, adds to its safety and versatility. Latest Updates
Wednesday, 25 September 2024 07:11 AM The TVS Ronin DS variant, despite not receiving a price cut, remains a significant option in the lineup with its additional features over the base SS variant. It is priced at Rs 1.57 lakh (ex-showroom) and includes features like single-channel ABS, which the base variant lacks. However, the price gap between the SS and DS variants has increased to Rs 21,700, making the DS a less appealing upgrade for some buyers. I believe this pricing strategy might push more buyers towards the base SS variant for its value-for-money proposition.
Tuesday, 24 September 2024 06:32 AM The TVS Ronin DS, along with other variants except the base SS, did not see any price revisions. This means the DS variant continues to offer its unique set of features, including single-channel ABS, but at a higher price point of Rs 1.57 lakh (ex-showroom). The lack of dual-channel ABS in the DS variant might be a drawback for some, as it is only available in the TD and TD Special Edition variants. I think this could be a missed opportunity for TVS to make the DS more competitive.
Tuesday, 24 September 2024 01:42 PM The TVS Ronin DS variant stands out with its design elements, including single-tone, dual-tone, and triple-tone paint schemes. While it does not benefit from the recent price cut, it still offers a blend of modern features and classic design, such as a round headlight, teardrop fuel tank, and a flat tail section. The DS variant also comes with a fully digital display, all-LED lighting, and adjustable brake and clutch levers. I believe the aesthetic appeal and additional features make it a strong contender in its segment.
Tuesday, 24 September 2024 12:49 PM In terms of technology, the TVS Ronin DS is equipped with a 225.9cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine producing 20.4 PS of power and 19.93 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. It also features a USD fork and a 7-step preload-adjustable monoshock, along with 17-inch alloy wheels and tubeless tires. The DS variant includes TVS SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity and two ABS modes (Rain and Road), enhancing its functionality. I think these technological advancements make the Ronin DS a compelling choice for riders seeking both style and performance.
Tuesday, 24 September 2024 01:13 PM The TVS Ronin DS competes directly with the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and the Honda CB350 RS in the Indian market. Despite the price difference between the Ronin SS and DS variants increasing, the DS still offers a competitive package with its features and performance. However, the absence of a price cut for the DS variant might affect its market appeal compared to the now more affordable base SS variant. I believe TVS needs to reconsider pricing strategies to keep all variants competitive.

These figures are commendable given the bikes powerful engine and feature-loaded profile. The mileage is consistent with user reviews and long-term tests, indicating that the Ronin DS is not only fun to ride but also economical in terms of fuel efficiency. TVS Ronin DS Review

22 Aug, 2022 10:49 AM

Quick Review by Maxabout Team

The TVS Ronin is a scrambler bike that is offered in three variants that are called SS, DS, and TD. The Ronin DS is a mid-variant of the bike that has been offered with a starting price of Rs 1,56,500 (ex-showroom) and there are two shades offered for this variant. These colours are Delta Blue and Stargaze Black. The bike is finished in a dual-tone paint scheme that adds to the beauty of the bike. It needs to be mentioned here that all the three variants boast a different type of colour pattern.

The TVS Ronin has classic styling with features like circular headlamps and rear view mirrors, a tear-drop fuel tank, and a large rear mudguard. Other notable characteristics include gold-finished USD forks, a thin seat shape, and a traditional grab rail. The engine, belly pan, and exhaust are all blacked out in the bike's lower part.

It sports dual-tone multi-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels which are outfitted with 110/70 size block-tread tubeless tyres at the front and 130/70 size block-tread tubeless tyres at the rear. The TVS Ronin is said to have a comfortable riding position because of its broad handlebar and centrally located foot pegs. It is suitable for city streets, highway cruising, and some modest off-road trails.

A multiple information sharing instrument cluster is an LCD unit that provides information including the speedometer, odometer, tachometer, trip meters, fuel gauge, gear position indicator, distance to empty, average speed, and much more. There are two ABS modes: rain and urban, that are visible on the instrument console for an enhanced experience. The instrument cluster is pairable with your smartphone through Bluetooth connectivity, and you can receive calls and SMS and control the music during the ride.

Powering the TVS Ronin SS is a 225.9cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, SOHC engine that comes mated with a 5-speed gearbox. This engine uses fuel injection technology and churns out 20.4 HP at 7750 rpm and 19.93 Nm of torque at 3750 rpm. The DS variant comes with a single-channel ABS system. The suspension duties are done by a 41mm USD front and a mono-shock with a 7-step adjustable preload for better handling the road stress. The braking chores are done by a 300mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear.
