About
The Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro is a highly capable adventure motorcycle designed for both on-road comfort and off-road versatility. It features an 888cc triple-cylinder engine that now produces 106.5 bhp, coupled with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike boasts a new 7-inch TFT display with connectivity options, lean-angle-sensitive traction control, and ABS. The ergonomics are well-thought-out, with a comfortable riding position, a seat height of 840 mm that can be lowered by 20 mm, and heated grips and seats for both the rider and pillion. The Marzocchi suspension is adjustable, and the bike comes with four riding modes, including an off-road mode where rear ABS and traction control can be deactivated. While it may not be the best choice for hardcore off-roading due to its road-focused tires and lack of certain protective features, it is more than capable of handling Indias diverse road conditions and is an excellent choice for casual adventure riders.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro is a stellar addition to the adventure motorcycle segment in India, offering a perfect blend of comfort, performance, and technology. My experience with this bike has been nothing short of impressive, with its smooth and responsive 888cc triple-cylinder engine now producing 106.5 bhp, a significant boost from its predecessor. The bikes handling is light, neutral, and predictable, making it a joy to ride both on paved roads and rough terrain. The new Marzocchi suspension, adjustable and with a remote preload adjuster, adds to the bikes versatility. However, there are a few drawbacks, such as the heat from the radiators and the lack of a quick shifter as a standard feature. Despite these, the Tiger 900 GT Pro remains my go-to recommendation for casual ADV riders seeking a premium, mid-size adventure bike that is capable and easy to live with.
Price
In India, the Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro is priced around 14 lakh ex-showroom, which can vary slightly depending on the state and local taxes. On-road prices can range from 16 lakh to 18 lakh, including registration, insurance, and other costs. While this may seem steep, the bikes extensive feature list, including heated grips, cruise control, and a high-spec TFT display, justifies the cost. Additionally, the bikes build quality and performance make it a solid investment for those looking for a premium adventure motorcycle. However, its worth noting that service and spare parts costs have increased since Bajaj took over Triumph operations in India, making long-term ownership slightly more expensive.
Latest Updates

The 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro boasts a significant engine upgrade, delivering 13% more power and 9% better fuel economy. The three-cylinder engine now produces 108PS of peak power and 90Nm of torque, maintaining its distinctive performance and sound. This update also includes new active safety features and a 7” TFT display. I think this enhancement will make the Tiger 900 GT Pro a top choice for adventure riders seeking both power and efficiency.

Triumph has streamlined the Tiger 900 family into three models: the GT, GT Pro, and Rally Pro. The GT Pro features a new flatter and roomier rider seat, heated seats, and a dampened handlebar mounting system for improved long-distance comfort. Additionally, it includes electronically adjustable suspension and a new seven-inch TFT dash. I believe these comfort and technology upgrades will significantly appeal to riders looking for a balanced adventure and sport-touring experience.

The 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro has seen notable visual and technical tweaks. The bike now features a refreshed styling, new marker lights for better visibility, and an emergency deceleration warning system. The GT Pro also comes with five ride modes, including a Rider Programmable mode, and a USB-C cockpit charger. I think these updates will enhance both the safety and customization options for riders.

Triumph’s Chief Product Officer, Steve Sargent, highlighted that the new Tiger 900 range aims to raise the bar in the middleweight adventure bike category. The updates include enhanced braking systems, optimized cornering ABS, and new rider modes. Sargent emphasized the bikes impressive pedigree, including its success in various rallies. I believe this focus on performance, capability, and comfort will further solidify the Tiger 900s reputation in the market.
Mileage
Monday, 18 November 2024 10:42 PM
The mileage of the Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro in India is quite respectable, especially considering its performance-oriented engine. According to my experience and various tests, the bike can easily achieve over 50 mpg (approximately 21 kml) with brisk riding, and up to 60 mpg (around 25 kml) at legal speeds. This translates to a range of around 425 km on a single tank, making it suitable for long-distance touring. While my personal test yielded around 46 mpg due to aggressive riding, the bikes fuel efficiency is commendable and should satisfy most riders needs.
