Our take on this /// Verdict
The Kawasaki Z250 SL is a compelling option for those seeking a lightweight, agile, and powerful 250cc street bike. My experience with this bike has been overwhelmingly positive, thanks to its refined 249cc single-cylinder engine that delivers smooth and consistent power. The bikes handling is exceptional, with a mono-shock suspension and petal disc brakes that provide excellent stability and braking performance. While the seat can be a bit firm, it is surprisingly comfortable for long rides, and the upright riding position makes it suitable for both city commuting and highway cruising. However, the lack of ABS and the somewhat uncomfortable pillion seat are notable drawbacks. Overall, the Z250 SL is a great choice for riders who value performance, handling, and fuel efficiency, but may need to consider additional safety features.
Price
The Kawasaki Z250 SL is expected to be priced competitively in the Indian market, with an ex-showroom price anticipated to be around Rs. 1.75-2.00 lakhs. Once on-road costs such as registration, insurance, and other taxes are factored in, the on-road price could range from Rs. 2.20 to Rs. 2.50 lakhs, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing positions the Z250 SL as a premium offering in the 250cc segment, competing with other high-end bikes like the Benelli TNT 250 and Mahindra Mojo 300. While it may seem pricey, the bikes quality, performance, and features justify the cost for serious enthusiasts.
