Vehicle Overview | Honda CBR250R Repsol Edition was launched few years back while another Special Edition Repsol Race Replica model is currently on sale in India. It is powered by the same 249cc, single cylinder engine that powers the standard CBR, producing 26.15 BHP and 22.9 Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and claims a wet weight if 163 kg. The motorcycle is good for 0-100 kmph in just 9 seconds while returns a mileage of around 30-35 kmpl on mixed driving. Currently, the CBR250R rivals Bajaj Dominar 400, Benelli TNT25 and Mahindra Mojo around its segment. |

Honda CBR250R was launched in 2011 and is produced by HMSI (Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India). Initially this model was targeted for Indian and Thai markets, but is sold worldwide. It has single-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-stroke SI (Spark Ignition) engine that makes 249.6cc of displacement. In India, as a developing nation, 250cc engine comes in sports category. Recently, Honda launched CBR250R Repsol Limited Edition in India. It is priced at INR 1.93 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
The engine of CBR250R Repsol Limited Edition has 76mm of bore and stroke length of 55mm. The engine has 4-valves in DOHC (Double Over Head Camshaft) configuration. The power produced by this engine is 26 Bhp at 8500 rpm and the torque generated is 22.9 Nm at 7000 rpm. It is equipped with electric start and the air for combustion passes through viscous air filter.
The overall dimensions of CBR250R Repsol Limited Edition are 2032mm (length), 720mm (width), 1127mm (height) with wheelbase of 1367mm and ground clearance of 145mm. It has twin spar type outer frame and has a kerb weight of 167kg. The front axle uses telescopic fork type suspension while the rear axle uses pro link type suspension. It uses 6-speed constant mesh type transmission with wet multidisc type clutch. The front disc brake has diameter of 296mm and the diameter of rear disc brake is 220mm.
CBR250R Repsol Limited Edition has digital ECU (Engine Control Unit) based ignition system that is powered by 12V-6Ah maintenance free battery. The headlamp of this motorcycle is of 55W and uses 12V electric supply. It has a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres and gives an average mileage of 25 kmpl (in city) and 35 kmpl (on highways). It can reach a mark of 60 kmph in just 3.50seconds and has a top speed of 145 kmph. The CBR 250R has split seats that provides comfortable and sporty drive. The sporty silver coated instrument panel consists of digital speedometer, digital dual trip meter and analogue tachometer.
The instrument panel of CBR250R Repsol Limited Edition also shows low fuel indication, low engine oil indication and low battery indication. It also supports ABS (anti-lock braking system) in brakes but costs a little higher than the basic model. It is available in single shades with Repsol livery.
