The engine was revamped with changes to the piston shape, balancer shaft, and valve spring load, among others. This update boosted the bikes power to 30 kW (40.2 hp) and torque to 25 N·m (18 lbf·ft). The quickshifter also became available as an option. I believe these upgrades significantly enhanced the bikes performance and handling.
