Honda CBF Stunner (Old Model)
General information and overview
The Honda CBF Stunner is a 125cc motorcycle designed to appeal to the stylish and practical needs of young riders in India. It features a 124.7cc air-cooled, four-stroke engine producing 11 bhp, paired with a smooth 5-speed transmission. The bike is equipped with tubeless tires, a 240mm front disc brake (or 130mm drum brake in the base model), and a 130mm rear drum brake. The Stunner boasts a kerb weight of 129 kg, a wheelbase of 1271mm, and a fuel tank capacity of 10 liters. It also includes features like a trip meter, maintenance-free battery, and a comfortable riding position. The bikes styling is one of its strongest points, with a sleek front fairing, sporty side panels, and a well-designed rear section. Overall, the Honda CBF Stunner offers a compelling blend of style, performance, and fuel efficiency, making it a popular choice in the 125cc segment.
Expert opinion and recommendation
The Honda CBF Stunner, particularly the old model, is a well-rounded motorcycle that excels in several key areas. It boasts a stylish design that stands out in its segment, with a muscular fuel tank and sleek fairings that give it a sporty appeal. The bikes performance, while not exceptional for enthusiasts, is more than adequate for its target audience of college-going students and first-time bike buyers. The engine, though a bit sluggish in the first gear, picks up well in the higher gears, and the smooth gear shifts are a hallmark of Hondas engineering. However, the lack of a sixth gear and some vibrations above 90 kmh are notable drawbacks. Overall, the Stunners balance of style, fuel efficiency, and reliability makes it a solid choice for those seeking a practical yet stylish ride.

Pricing details and changes
When the Honda CBF Stunner was launched, its pricing was competitive but slightly on the higher side compared to other 125cc bikes in the market. The ex-showroom price in Delhi for the fully loaded version was around Rs. 51,655, while the version without disc brakes and some graphics was priced at Rs. 47,070. On-road prices would have included additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, pushing the total to around Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 65,000. Despite being one of the costlier options in its category, the Stunners quality, features, and brand reputation justified the premium pricing, making it a worthwhile investment for many buyers.
Fuel efficiency information
The Honda CBF Stunner is known for its impressive fuel efficiency, which is a crucial factor for many Indian buyers. Owners have reported mileage figures ranging from 54 to 62 kmpl, depending on the service interval and riding conditions. This makes the Stunner an economical choice for daily commuting, especially for students and those on a budget. The fuel efficiency, combined with its 10-liter fuel tank, ensures that the bike can cover significant distances without frequent refueling, making it an attractive option for those concerned about running costs.
