Honda CB Twister Disc Brake

About
The Honda CB Twister is a 110cc commuter bike designed with a blend of style and functionality. It features a sporty design with a muscular fuel tank and a sleek front cowl, making it stand out in its segment. The bike is powered by a 109cc engine that produces 9bhp8000rpm, providing good acceleration and torque for city driving. It comes with optional front disc brakes, though the disc brake system has been criticized for its lack of feedback. The bike has an upright seating posture and comfortable handlebars, making it suitable for daily commuting. However, it lacks a tachometer and has some quality issues with plastic parts and suspension. Despite these shortcomings, the CB Twister is known for its reliability, tubeless tires, and maintenance-free battery, making it a solid choice for those looking for a stylish and efficient commuter bike.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Honda CB Twister with a disc brake is a mixed bag, offering both impressive and disappointing aspects. On the positive side, it boasts a sleek and sporty design, inspired by its larger sibling, the CB1000R, which certainly turns heads on the road. The bikes performance is commendable, especially in city driving, with a 9bhp8000rpm engine that provides enthusiastic acceleration and decent torque. However, the disc brake system, although optional, lacks feedback and feels spongy, which can be a concern for confident braking. Additionally, the rear tyres lack of a centre groove affects braking, acceleration, and wet weather performance. The bikes ergonomics are comfortable, with an upright seating posture and well-placed handlebars, but the ride quality suffers due to stiff rear suspension. Overall, its a great bike for city commuting but has some significant shortcomings that need consideration.
Price
The price of the Honda CB Twister with a disc brake in India can vary depending on the location and any additional features or accessories. At the time of its release, the ex-showroom price for the disc brake variant was around 60,000 to 65,000. However, the on-road price, including taxes, registration, and other costs, would typically range from 70,000 to 75,000. Its important to note that prices can fluctuate based on regional taxes and other local factors. As of now, since the model is older, prices may have adjusted, but it generally remains an affordable option in the 110cc segment.
Mileage

This makes it an economical choice for daily commuting, helping to keep running costs low.

Not at all a good bike

It is not a good bike. It's been 4 years, since I am using it, trust me guys, go with some other option. I also have a 13 year old caliber and its performance and overall economy is better then twister even after 13 years. Not comfortable for long trips, no mileage, engine start noise after 20,000km. Not at all a good bike.

Best Features: Looks

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Engine noise, missing, inconvenience for long trips

Good bike for the Beginners

I owned a CB Twister for almost 8 months now. Its looks are damn hot no doubt but I hate its grab rails and over usage of plastic. But the main talking point of the bike is its 110cc engine. The pickup is good, it offers comfortable ride even at 90km/hr speed with a little vibration. The upright seating posture never make me uncomfortable on city roads. Everybody have misconception that big fuel tank is a big hindrance. But believe me, fuel tank is designed in such a way that my knees rest perfectly while riding. How can I forget mention mileage here, it returns me 65+ overall mileage with which I am satisfied.

Pros: Style, Mileage, Comfort

Cons: Over usage of Plastic

It is an fuel efficient and comfortable executive commuter city bike with good design. If you do not regret spending 5,000 extra rupees, this is the best bike which you should purchase at this moment. The engine is smooth and styling is top class. It offers a true mileage of 58 to 65 km per litre in the city-riding conditions, depending upon the riding habit of the rider. The good shock absorbers of the bike make the journey pleasant on the bumpy roads. Handling is very good. The weight of the bike is 110 Kg only which is good for flickering in the crowded roads of the city like Delhi. It has a set of MRF Tube-less tyres, which is a first in a commuter motorcycle in India. It is very useful when punctured with a thorn-wire-nail etc. It will not let the air out instantly and you can safely go to the nearest puncturewala who will mend it immediately without removing the wheel of the bike.

Best Features: Good Mileage & Value for Money

Pros: Eye catching looks, value for money, tubeless tires, good mileage

Cons: Lack of 5th gear, pass switch

Every bike makes vibration as max rpm reaches in earlier gear or top gear. But driver must understand that if 100CC Bike makes vibration after 70 kmph thats nice point of bike. If you drive CBR 150R Then you i'll notice that where is the vibration if you drive to 70 kmph in top gear. Dont blem a real performance . or other wise other bikes vibrates more then twister on 70 kmph.

22nd Feb 13 my CB Twister will complete 1 year. This is mentainance free light bike with high mileage. I have travelled 170 kms from Purulia to Hazaribagh with one stop only. The unique feature I noted that it runs smoothly either in 20 km/h or 85 km/h. I use only Extra Premium Petrol and getting 70+ mileage. I always go Honda Service Centre for check-up bi-monthly. Over all, I am enjoying happy ridings.

Bajaj Discover 100 Self dts-si is better than cb twister because Discover 100 Self dts-si has True mileage with the power of it's fuel efficient engine.

Hi everybody, I have been using CB Twister from 2 months. it has given a mileage of 50 kmph nearly before first service.after that now it is giving at about greater than 60 kmph. as per the mileage is taken into consideration it is very good. but as it is a 110cc engine its pick up is low. the bike is smooth for a speed of 50 kmph and after that it sounds high for increasing the speed. i think i might wait for the bike to undergo some services and i can get a perfect opinion about the bike.
But overall the bike is good.......

I am using the twister for almost a year now. who says it vibrates above 70kmph. All rubbish. My bike is very smooth and giving mileage og 60-65 stop posting unnececary comments. I also have a dazzler. Both are gems in terms of reliabilty and durability.
