Honda CB Trigger STD

About
The Honda CB Trigger STD is a 150cc naked streetbike that inherits many of its mechanicals from the CB Unicorn Dazzler. It features a 149.1cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 14bhp at 8500rpm and 1.27kgm of torque at 6500rpm. The engine is mated to a smooth-shifting 5-speed gearbox with a heel-and-toe shift lever. The bike boasts an upright riding position, wide handlebars, and a well-sculpted fuel tank, giving it a commuter-friendly stance. It comes with telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear, providing decent ride quality, although the rear suspension can feel a bit stiff on rough roads. The STD variant is equipped with a 240mm front disc brake but lacks the rear disc and combined braking system found in higher variants. Overall, the CB Trigger STD is a reliable, practical, and stylish motorcycle suitable for daily urban riding.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Honda CB Trigger STD is a well-rounded motorcycle that offers a blend of reliability, performance, and practicality. While it may not be the most attractively priced in its segment, it compensates with Hondas proven reliability and a smooth, refined engine. The bikes upright riding position and wide handlebars make it commuter-friendly, and the combined braking system (though only available in higher variants) is a significant safety feature. However, the STD variant lacks the rear disc brake and CBS, which might be a drawback for some. Overall, it is a solid choice for those seeking a dependable and easy-to-ride motorcycle, especially in urban environments.
Price
The Honda CB Trigger STD is priced competitively in the Indian market. As of its launch, the ex-showroom price in Delhi was 67,384. When you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other charges, the price can go up to around 75,000 to 80,000, depending on the state and local taxes. While it is not the cheapest option in the 150cc segment, the price is justified by the quality and reliability that Honda offers. It is worth noting that the prices may have varied slightly over time and across different regions, but the STD variant remains one of the more affordable options within the CB Trigger lineup.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 04:28 PM The Honda CB Trigger STD offers commendable fuel efficiency, making it a cost-effective choice for daily commuting. Owners have reported mileage figures of around 50-60 kmpl in mixed city and highway riding conditions, with some achieving up to 63 kmpl in more favorable traffic conditions. This mileage is quite competitive in the 150cc segment and helps in keeping the running costs low, making it an attractive option for those concerned about fuel efficiency.

Honda CB Trigger is a sporty looking commuter bike. It holds smooth engine, I am happy that it doesn't make loud noise on top speed. I have completed 17000 km on this bike and it is giving me 55 kmpl average on highways and 50 on city roads. I have traveled a lot with my friends on long distance tours and believe me it offers fatigue free ride. I never faced any problem in bike yet but I can say its paint quality is poor.

Good Bike in 150cc Segment

It is a winner in its own terms. It has a sporty design which is quite eye-catching and its handling power is also very impressive. It has wide handlebars that make the handling easy and comfortable. It is a fuel efficient bike which offers me a mileage of 60-62 kmpl on highway and 40-45 in cities. The engine sound is smooth and you will feel like you are driving a car. The braking system is efficient and the mono suspension present at the backside of this bike is very responsive. The only drawback is that it does not have 6th gear.

Best Features: Smooth Engine & Good Build Quality

Pros: Sporty design, smooth engine, efficient braking system, fuel efficient, easy handling, good build quality

Cons: Lack of 6th gear
