The 2024 Honda CBR650R and CB650R have been updated with Hondas innovative E-Clutch system, which allows riders to start, stop, and change gears without using the clutch lever, although the clutch remains operational for those who prefer it. This system can be set to three different operational feel settings. The bikes also feature new styling, a full-color TFT display, and all-LED lighting. I think this E-Clutch system is a game-changer for riders who want the ease of an automatic but the control of a manual.

Honda has introduced fresh new styling for the 2024 CBR650R, making it look more like its sportbike siblings, such as the CBR1000RR. The bike also comes with a new backlit control cluster on the bars and all-LED lighting. The 649cc inline-four engine is tuned for broad power suitable for street riding and features Honda Selectable Torque Control (traction control) that can be disabled if desired. I believe the new styling will appeal to fans of aggressive sportbike designs.

The 2024 Honda CB650R and CBR650R have received significant upgrades, including the E-Clutch system, which removes the need to use the clutch lever at all. The bikes were tested at Atlanta Motorsports Park and on curvy roads in northern Georgia, showing promising performance. Seasoned riders may need some time to get accustomed to the new clutch system, but it adds a new level of fun to the riding experience. I think this could be a great option for both new and experienced riders.

Hondas E-Clutch system on the 2024 CB650R and CBR650R allows for an innovative blend of manual gearbox and automatic clutch functionality. This setup is different from Honda’s Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) and aims to bridge the gap between auto and manual worlds. The system is designed to make riding easier and more enjoyable, especially in urban environments. I believe this technology will attract a wider range of riders.

The 2024 Honda CBR650R is priced at $9,899 and is available in Grand Prix Red. The bike features a 649cc DOHC, liquid-cooled inline-four engine with 94 horsepower and 46.4 lb-ft of torque. It also includes a 6-speed transmission with the new E-Clutch, a steel diamond frame, and advanced braking systems with ABS. I think the pricing is competitive given the advanced features and performance.

Honda has announced that the 2024 CBR650R and CB650R will come with updated electronics, including a new full-color TFT display and backlit control clusters on the bars. These updates enhance the riding experience with better visibility and control. The chassis of the 2024 Honda CBR650R and CB650R features a 57-inch wheelbase, a 466-pound curb weight for the CBR650R, and sporty geometry. The suspension includes a Showa 41mm Separate Function Big Piston (SFF-BP) fork and a Showa shock with 10-stage spring-preload adjustability. This setup provides a balanced ride and good handling. I think the suspension upgrades will improve the overall riding comfort and stability.

Hondas 2024 CBR650R and CB650R models have been equipped with advanced braking systems, including radial-mount, four-piston calipers and 310mm discs at the front, and a single-piston caliper and 240mm disc at the rear, both with ABS. This setup ensures strong and reliable braking performance. I believe the braking system is one of the standout features of these bikes.

The 2024 Honda CBR650R and CB650R have a fuel capacity of 4.1 gallons, including a 0.8-gallon reserve, which is suitable for both short city rides and longer road trips. The seat height is set at 31.9 inches, making it accessible to a wide range of riders. I think the fuel capacity and seat height make these bikes practical for daily use.

Honda has emphasized the broad power delivery of the 649cc inline-four engine in the 2024 CBR650R and CB650R, which is fed by PGM-FI with 32mm throttle bodies. This engine tuning is designed to provide sporty performance without being overly aggressive, making it suitable for street riding. I believe this engine setup strikes a great balance between power and usability.

Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price | Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges. |

I own the cb650r for only a few days. The bike is really fantastic I used to ride a Yamaha and I was happy with it until I decided to change to the Honda. The sit-high is a little bit too high for me but I am getting used to it. The engine is very strong and always surprises me. It's very comfortable on long drives. I did 1000 Km in the first week. I think that the fuel consumption is good enough for the size of the bike, weight, and power delivered. The finish of the work is very high and I think that the look of it is superb!
