USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hero RNT Diesel is a groundbreaking concept that has been in the works for several years, and it is finally nearing its launch in India. As someone who has closely followed the development of this unique vehicle, I must say that it brings a fresh perspective to the Indian market. The 150cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, turbocharged, and direct-injection diesel engine is a marvel, producing 13.5bhp at 4000rpm and an impressive 35Nm of torque at just 1600rpm. This power delivery at low rpm makes it ideal for carrying heavy loads and navigating through congested city roads. However, the top speed of 70kmph might be a bit of a letdown for those seeking higher speeds. Nonetheless, its fuel efficiency and the practicality it offers, including load-carrying capabilities and a comfortable seating for two, make it a compelling choice for those looking for a versatile and economical ride.
Price
The Hero RNT Diesel is expected to be priced around Rs 80,000 in India on an ex-showroom basis. When you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other local taxes, the price could go up to around Rs 1 lakh. Given its unique diesel engine and the features it offers, such as a 6-speed gearbox and liquid cooling, this price seems reasonable. It positions the RNT Diesel as a cost-effective option for those who need a reliable and fuel-efficient vehicle for daily use, especially in urban and semi-urban areas where fuel costs can be a significant concern.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 09:48 AM The Hero RNT Diesel promises impressive fuel economy, which is a crucial factor for many buyers in India. With its diesel engine optimized for low rpm power delivery, it is expected to offer excellent mileage. While exact figures are not yet available, the concepts design and engine specifications suggest that it could deliver mileage in the range of 60-80 kmpl, making it an attractive option for those concerned about running costs.
