Thursday, 14 November 2024 11:49 PM The Hero RNT, a unique diesel-powered motorcycle, is expected to be priced around Rs 80,000 in India when it launches. This bike features a 150cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, turbocharged diesel engine producing 13.5 BHP at 4000 rpm and 35 Nm of torque at 1600 rpm. It also comes with a 6-speed gearbox and is designed for heavy load carrying and off-road capabilities. I think this could be a game-changer for those needing a robust and efficient two-wheeler.
Thursday, 17 October 2024 03:08 PM Hero MotoCorp has envisioned the RNT as a versatile vehicle, often referred to as a two-wheeled tractor. It includes provisions for attaching ploughs and harvesters, making it useful for agricultural purposes. The bike also features cargo platforms at the front and rear, along with extendable pannier frames for storage. This practical design could make it very appealing to farmers and utility riders.
Friday, 14 February 2014 05:56 PM One of the standout features of the Hero RNT is its hybrid capability, where it can run on either diesel or electric power, or a combination of both. This is achieved through an electric motor mounted within the front wheel hub, allowing for two-wheel drive and zero exhaust emissions in city centers. This technology makes it an environmentally friendly option.
Friday, 14 February 2014 10:31 AM The Hero RNT boasts a unique LED headlamp that can be quickly detached and used as a powerful torch, adding to its utility. The bike also features a digital speedometer, fuel gauge, analogue tachometer, and various indicators like low fuel and low battery alerts. These features enhance its practicality and user convenience. I believe such innovative lighting solutions will be highly appreciated by users.
Friday, 14 February 2014 03:09 PM The RNT has a robust build with dimensions of 2029mm in length, 739mm in width, and 1077mm in height, along with a ground clearance of 168mm. It has a kerb weight of 136 kg and a fuel tank capacity of 6 liters. This design ensures stability and ease of handling, even with heavy loads.
Wednesday, 29 January 2014 05:40 AM Hero MotoCorp unveiled the concept version of the RNT at an event in New Delhi in January 2014, with plans to showcase it at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. The launch was initially expected by mid-2015, but the bike remains in the concept stage. I think the delay might be due to refining the unique diesel engine technology.
Wednesday, 29 January 2014 11:55 PM The Hero RNTs diesel engine is notable for its ability to run on biofuel made from used cooking oil, making it a sustainable option. The engine is also designed to be used as a generator, which could be particularly useful in developing regions for powering essential equipment like water pumps or emergency lighting.
Wednesday, 29 January 2014 10:57 AM Despite its unique features, the Hero RNT faces competition from small capacity motorcycles like the Honda Cub, which are widely used for their affordability and durability. The RNTs heavier weight and higher complexity might make it less appealing to some users who prefer lighter and more economical options.
Wednesday, 29 January 2014 08:48 PM The RNTs design combines style, space, sturdiness, power, and technology, with features like main front-mounted LED headlights and a removable secondary LED light with an internal Li-Ion battery. This blend of aesthetics and functionality makes it an interesting proposition in the two-wheeler market.
Wednesday, 29 January 2014 02:04 PM Hero MotoCorps CEO, Pawan Munjal, described the RNT as the MUV of bikes, highlighting its one-of-a-kind status and the worlds smallest 150cc diesel unit. This emphasis on innovation and practicality sets high expectations for the bikes performance and market reception.

35 Nm @ 1600rpm for a bike that weighs 136Kg? It is a diesel alright. Good thing they used the 150/60 tyres. They're fatter than that of FZs.. It going to be noisy, but I would really like to try this one :D
