The Hero RNT, a unique diesel-powered motorcycle, is expected to be priced around Rs 80,000 in India when it launches. This bike features a 150cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, turbocharged diesel engine producing 13.5 BHP at 4000 rpm and 35 Nm of torque at 1600 rpm. It also comes with a 6-speed gearbox and is designed for heavy load carrying and off-road capabilities. I think this could be a game-changer for those needing a robust and efficient two-wheeler.

Hero MotoCorp has envisioned the RNT as a versatile vehicle, often referred to as a two-wheeled tractor. It includes provisions for attaching ploughs and harvesters, making it useful for agricultural purposes. The bike also features cargo platforms at the front and rear, along with extendable pannier frames for storage. This practical design could make it very appealing to farmers and utility riders.

One of the standout features of the Hero RNT is its hybrid capability, where it can run on either diesel or electric power, or a combination of both. This is achieved through an electric motor mounted within the front wheel hub, allowing for two-wheel drive and zero exhaust emissions in city centers. This technology makes it an environmentally friendly option.

The Hero RNT boasts a unique LED headlamp that can be quickly detached and used as a powerful torch, adding to its utility. The bike also features a digital speedometer, fuel gauge, analogue tachometer, and various indicators like low fuel and low battery alerts. These features enhance its practicality and user convenience. I believe such innovative lighting solutions will be highly appreciated by users.

Discussions and Questions Hero RnT
Why is the front design so awkward for Hero RNT Diesel?
18 April 2025 02:30
The front design of the Hero RNT Diesel appears awkward due to the large extensions over the front and rear wheels, which are part of its utilitarian design. These extensions provide flat loading surfaces and numerous mounting handles, indicating the bike's purpose as a hard-working, all-purpose utility vehicle, particularly suited for rural areas and developing markets where vehicles are often overloaded and used for various tasks such as carrying heavy loads, attaching plows or harvesters, and serving as a portable power source.

What is the expected mileage of Hero RNT diesel?
02 January 2023 06:24
Mileage figure of the Hero RNT diesel has not been disclosed by the company. We expect the diesel motorcycle to return a 50+ kmpl as the engine size and power values are quiet restricted, making it fuel efficient offering from the company. The use of diesel in the 2 wheeler industry can revolutionize the cost of running of the 2 wheeler's, making the rides more efficient and pocket friendly. The bike comes with a 150 cc diesel engine, producing 13.5 BHP and 35 NM of torque. The turbocharged diesel engine will be a good performer also as the weight of the bike is merely 136 kg. It is expected to be priced at INR 80,000.

Hero RnT Discussion
35 Nm @ 1600rpm for a bike that weighs 136Kg? It is a diesel alright. Good thing they used the 150/60 tyres. They're fatter than that of FZs.. It going to be noisy, but I would really like to try this one :D
That is a straight out ugly look
weird looking moped
