Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 Revealed With Hero Co-Development
Harley-Davidson revealed the Hero co-developed Sprint 440 with a low seat and 440 cc single. U.S. availability is planned for spring 2027.
Harley-Davidson has revealed the Sprint 440, a low-seat cruiser designed and engineered with Hero MotoCorp. It uses a 440 cc air/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine and will make its public debut at EICMA in Milan from 5 to 8 November 2026. Harley-Davidson plans U.S. availability for spring 2027. India pricing, bookings and launch timing remain open.
Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 specifications
| Specification | Announced figure |
|---|---|
| Engine | 440 cc air/oil-cooled single |
| Peak power | 27 hp at 6,000 rpm |
| Peak torque | 38 Nm at 4,000 rpm |
| Gearbox | Six-speed with assist-and-slip clutch |
| Laden seat height | 671 mm |
| Ready-to-ride weight | 187 kg |
| Fuel capacity | 9 litres |
The low, tapered saddle and narrow body are intended to make it easier to reach the ground. The quoted seat height is measured with the bike laden. A rider comparing it with an unladen measurement should try the bike in person, especially when judging reach to the ground and the effort required to move it at walking pace.

What does the reveal mean for India?
The partnership gives Indian riders a reason to watch the model, but the release sets no local price, equipment list or launch window. Harley-Davidson says participating dealers will sell it in global markets with timing varying by country. The company separately confirmed final assembly in York, Pennsylvania, for the U.S. market.
Before putting the Sprint 440 on an India shortlist, watch for a local specification sheet, on-road pricing, booking terms and dealer availability. The global reveal establishes the cruiser’s basic hardware and riding position. A local announcement will determine how it fits alongside the existing Harley-Davidson range in India.
