Hero Maestro 110 (Old Model) Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Maestro is Hero's second best-seller after the mighty Splendor, which has been ruling the charts. Despite being new to the market, Maestro has managed to make an impression so strong that it comes in the top 10 selling two Wheeler’s list. Sharing its DNA with the Honda Activa, Maestro is 'such a boy thing'.
Design & Style
Maestro shares its underpinnings with the Honda's Activa but provides a refreshing and younger looking design. Maestro has its own curves and a crown shaped windshield at the front which clearly differentiate it from its cousin. 3D stickers on the sides add up to the style statement.
Instrument Console
Maestro brings the combination of digital and analog technology in a very elegant manner. The analog speedometer in the center is very nicely designed and at the right is the digital trip meter and fuel indicator. The console totally differentiates it from all of its rivals.
Engine & Performance
Hero has implanted the same 109 cc motor to the maestro that Honda has in the Activa. With equally efficient working the engine produces 8.1 Bhp @ 7500 rpm and 9.10 Nm of torque @ 5500 rpm. The motor is an air cooled 4-stroke single-cylinder with AC CDI ignition.
Comfort while Riding
Maestro has got a lot of space below the seat which provides free hand riding experience for the pillion rider. The wide and comfortable seat of maestro gives smooth ride experiences for the long rides along with its short turning radius which improves the city riding.
Mileage
Hero claims a mileage of 60 kmpl which sounds like a nice figure for a scooter in the 110 cc segment.
Brakes and Suspension
The advanced combined brake system has been installed into the Hero Maestro which applies both the brakes with the pressing of single brake lever. 130 mm internal expanding shoe type drum brakes have been used for both the front and rear tyre. Hero provides spring loaded hydraulic dampers, bottom link type at the front and unit swing type at the rear.
Ride and Handling
A smooth ride is guaranteed by 10-90/100 tyres on the both ends which are equipped with puncture endurance tube. With a wheelbase of 1240 mm and a 155 mm ground clearance, it can easily tackle the small obstacles on the road.
Variants
Hero offers the Maestro in a two trims namely Maestro 110 and Maestro special edition, with both kick and self-start option.
Shades
Maestro comes in seven shades namely Electric Blue, Magnetic Matt Grey, Vital White, Panther Black, Blazing Red, Force Sliver and a special edition named Groovy medley which has a combination of Red and White.
Price
Maestro 110 costs INR 48,050 whereas the special edition costs INR 48,350 INR.
Verdict
The reputation of Hero carries away all the little flaws which could have been experienced while going for the Maestro and not just that, the specifications say it all. It can be considered an ideal scooter for day to day routine and the color options are just fascinating as a dream.

User Reviews for Hero Maestro
Maestro Edge 110
So much of the problems in my maestro's battery which I bought in October 2017. I have been doing time to time servicing, still, the problem is consistent.
Best Features: Indicators
Pros: Smooth to ride inspite of its weight
Cons: Battery problem is consistent. The charge may get low anytime anywhere. Sometimes in the middle of road.
Good featured scooter built with low quality
I am writing a review after one year. I purchased it last year Dussehra (30th SEP 2017). The mileage at the starting was around 50km/ltr but gradually it decreases and reached 40km/ltr even regular service and maintenance was in place. My engine crank was faulty also kick and the battery was of poor quality. It causes me a lot of problems because I have been commuting 30km daily. Tyre also of low grade because regularly they are creating puncture problems. This scooter I would not refer because it causes frustration to the customer after purchase. The company should be built a quality product because they charged Rs. 60k+ money for that. They should fully check scooter quality before delivering to the customer.
Best Features: Look, comfort and seat length
Pros: Look and comfort (bigger seat length)
Cons: mileage and built quality
A waste scooter
From the first day, I m getting lots of problem in mileage, body sounds, and parts.
Best Features: Height of the scooter
Pros: Nothing good in this scooter
Cons: Mileage, sounds
Fab One

Best Features: Charger and torque
Pros: Everything
Cons: Weight and response to accelarater
Maestro Edge, Feel the Josh if it Starts..
I purchased this scooter in Oct 2015, since then almost 3 months passed with full of problems with this scooter. starting problem: at first, everyday it has to take multiple cranking to start. after some time we found out it required to pull chock to start (if you want to start quickly) then a new problem raised that, its battery get drained out in every 2-3 days. so we have to use kick to start, and funny part is, two people require to start this wonderful scooter. one to kick and another to accelerate as the handle bar can not be reached by same person. then a new problem raised leaving everything behind, it stops to recognize its both the keys. have to remove key multiple and insert again to make it work. its support team: once it was on starting in the evening therefore it has to left in office next day when we called workshop they said bring it here, then we will check. then we contacted customer care number they said you will be contacted in two working days. now i am planning to put it on OLX, if anyone doubts the above review, kindly buy this from me i will give you 10% discount on cost. it has just completed 1000 kms, not having even a single scratch, accessories fitted from showroom.
Best Features: Immobilizer
Pros: Immobilizer, can open seat and fuel lid without removing key, light in storage
Cons: Brakes, mileage if starts, powerless above 40-50kmph
