Honda Activa is one of the most sought after commercial scooter that is well known and admired all over the country. The reasons behind so are ample. Activa 3G was the third generation of the rather famous flagship model. It is powered by 109.2cc, Air cooled, 4 stroke, SI engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 8 Bhp @ 7500 rpm and an utmost torque of 8.83 Nm @ 5500 rpm.

The engine is mated to a V-Matic transmission. It competes in the market with the likes of TVS Jupiter, Hero Maestro, Yamaha Ray ZR, and Hero Duet. The Honda Activa 3G though discontinued in India, was available in 5 incredible shades: Black, Pearl Metallic White, Lusty Red Metallic, Blue Trance Metallic and Geny Grey Metallic. Activa 3G features a series of new updates from its predecessor. It is equipped with new winkers, side panels, tail lamp, mudguard and 3D Activa badges.

With an approximate weight of 108 kgs which is much heavier than its competitors, it still managed to remain ahead in the game and the company was able to sell almost 2 Lakh models of eth variant every month. How much load one can carry on the front foot-board of Honda Activa 3G?

The Honda Activa can easily carry 10-20 kg on the front foot-board. The board actually is only for placing the feet as if luggage is placed on the space, the foot position is disturbed, thereby increasing the chances of injury is suddenly their is an event of imbalance or accident. The feet and legs are safe inside the area as the direct contact with the hitting obstacle is not possible in that case. It should only be used if the given item is not getting into the under seat storage and you need to carry it in emergency to the other place.

Hero Maestro Edge ya Honda Activa 3G?

Hero Maestro Edge would be a better option over Honda Activa 3G as it comes with loads of extra features for the same price as that of the 3rd generation Activa. Maestro Edge comes with a claimed mileage of 65.8 kmpl whereas Activa claims a 60 kmpl mileage only. It gets telescopic front shock absorbers whereas the Activa uses spring loaded type suspension, making it outdated in front of the Maestro Edge. The front wheel of the newcomer is 12 inch in diameter, providing better and stable ride. The Maestro Edge comes with alloy wheels, tubeless tyres, mobile charging point, underseat luggage lamp, immobilizer and designer LED tail light. It even gets a sporty and attractive design than the Activa 3G. All this comes with a price tag of INR 49,500-50,700.

Acceleration Issue in my scooter (Torque is not picking immediately) while in signals/slow moving traffic/speed breaks lot of issue). It's not even moving forward till I raise accelerator to 90 Degrees. I showed in service center, they are not able to find manufacturing defect. When I did a test ride in another scooter, it's in good condition.
