Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hero Honda Hunk is a standout in the 150cc segment, offering a blend of power, comfort, and style that makes it a compelling choice for riders in India. Its smooth and responsive engine, inherited from Honda, provides excellent performance, especially in the mid-range RPMs. The bikes handling is well-sorted, thanks to its gas-charged rear shock absorbers, which enhance ride quality and stability. While the gearbox can be a bit notchy, especially at high RPMs, it becomes smoother with regular servicing. The Hunks muscular design and big bike feel make it a head-turner, and its comfort features, such as the scooped seat and high-set handlebars, ensure a comfortable riding experience. However, it lacks some modern features like LED tail lamps and digital speedometers found in other competitors. Overall, the Hunk is a solid choice for those seeking a powerful, comfortable, and stylish commuter bike.
Price
The Hero Honda Hunk, during its time in the market, was priced competitively in India. The ex-showroom price ranged from 63,000 to 78,000 in Delhi, depending on the variant. On-road prices would typically include additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, pushing the total to around 75,000 to 90,000. This pricing made the Hunk an attractive option, especially considering its performance and features. It was also notably cheaper than its closest competitor, the CBZ Xtreme, by about 700 to 800, making it a value-for-money proposition.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 06:46 PM
The Hero Honda Hunk offers respectable mileage, making it a practical choice for daily commuting. Users have reported mileage figures ranging from 40 to 55 kmpl, depending on riding conditions and maintenance. With a fuel tank capacity of 12.4 liters, this translates to a decent range, making it suitable for both city rides and occasional long trips. Regular servicing, as emphasized by several owners, significantly improves the bikes fuel efficiency.
