Discussions and Questions Bajaj Darkstar
Bajaj has a task at hand to balance off road capability with on road comfort for the Darkstar.
15 January 2025 10:23
Here Bajaj's experience with the Dominar could come in handy. They just need to tweak it for some off road use, but that bike strikes a decent balance for touring.
Will the Bajaj Darkstar cannibalize sales of other Bajaj models?
15 January 2025 10:23
Bringing more people into Bajaj showrooms could actually help other models. Some will visit the Darkstar, but they'll be leaving with a different Bajaj bike that'd be more suitable for them.
Can the Darkstar rival the Royal Enfield Himalayan?
15 January 2025 10:23
The Darkstar doesn't have to be better than the Himalayan, just a little different enough for it to find its own niche. The ADV market is big enough for more than one player.
Will the Darkstar design be too conservative for the adventure bike market?
15 January 2025 10:23
I’m hoping they go bold with design. If you’re going to do ADV bikes, they should look the part, not like a Pulsar with a high fender.
Is the Bajaj Darkstar just an adventure dressed Pulsar?
15 January 2025 10:23
It will probably be more of a road biased ADV, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. And most riders don’t need hardcore off road capability, a more street friendly ADV could work well for Indian roads and light trails.
