Aprilia recently launched the GPR150 ABS in China at CNY 22,980 which converts to INR 2.45 lakh. The reason why it should concern us is that Aprilia has been planning to introduce a 150cc sports bike in our country too. The GPR150 ABS is the younger sibling of GPR250 which is being sold in China. This fully-faired sports bike features a dual-headlamp setup with an LED positon light in the middle. The styling of this faired motorcycle is its main USP and the ‘big bike’ appeal sets it apart from the rest of the competition.

This sports bike will be available in three color options: Red, Black, and White. It features an aerodynamic sports full fairing with MotoGP graphics, making it quite eye-catching. I think the design will be a major selling point for this bike.
Sunday, 10 November 2024 04:25 PM Aprilia has recently launched the GPR150 ABS in China, which has sparked speculation about its imminent launch in India. The China-spec model comes with a dual-headlamp setup and an LED position light, and it is expected that the Indian version will have similar features. I believe this could give Aprilia an edge in the Indian market.
Sunday, 20 October 2024 09:38 AM The Aprilia GPR 150 is powered by a 149.2 cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that produces 18 HP at 9750 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 7500 rpm. This engine configuration is designed to compete with rivals like the Yamaha R15 in India. I think the performance specs look promising for a bike in this segment.
Sunday, 15 September 2024 07:25 PM Aprilia has been testing the GPR 150 on Indian roads, and the spied model shows some differences from the European version, particularly in the headlight design and fairing. Aprilia GPR 150 Review

04 Feb, 2019 06:14 AM

Quick Review by Maxabout Team

One of the most anticipated sports bikes from the brand, the Aprilia GPR 150 is expected to be launched anytime in the near future as its production-ready image has been recently spied over the internet. Disregarding the original beliefs of launching the same by the name of RS 150, the Indian buyers will most expectedly be getting the version already available in China and even get the same name- GPR 150. The engine configuration for the bike though remains same as promised at the Auto Expo by the officials.

The bike spied tested on the Indian roads is quite different from the one available in European markets while the India-spec model only varies when it comes to the headlights design, the overall fairing and the seat placement. When it comes to choosing the launch of GPR 150 rather than RS 150, the company has made a rather legit decision seeing that they already have a scooter named SR 150.

Coming to the design specification, the Aprilia GPR 150 gets an all-new headlight size with tweaked rearview mirror holders and a bit bulkier fairing as compared to the SR 150. The rider seat though remains identical with the European spec model, the pillion seat gets a new wider and longer overlook. The 1345mm of wheelbase is enough to handle the bike efficiently over the sharp corners. The all-new Aprilia GPR 150 is powered by a 150 cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine capable of generating a maximum power of 18 HP @ 9750 rpm and an utmost torque of 14 Nm @ 7500 rpm. The company officially suggests the bike get more power in order to compete with its rival Yamaha R15 in India.
