Honda CBR150R Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India are going to introduce a new motorcycle soon and this could be the entry-level motorcycle in India. The company has filed a patent application for this, which indicates that this motorcycle will knock on our doors soon. This is the Honda CBR150R. This motorcycle will launch with many good designs and features. Whenever this Honda bike is launched, it will compete with the Yamaha R15 V4. Outside of the Honda CBR 150R, the design will be very sharp.
Its exterior design can be seen as inspired by the larger-sized CBR motorcycle. This is also a series. At the front, dual-LED headlamps have been given to this motorcycle. Also, LED DRLs will be available in them. Talking about other features, it will get a compact windscreen and a sporty rear view mirror. A low-set wide handlebar will be available, which will have a digital instrument cluster. A sculpted fuel tank, an upswept exhaust and step-up seats will be available. It will get golden colours for a sporty appeal. Talking about the exterior colour options, they will include Victory Black Red, Honda Racing Red, Dominator Matte Black, Candy Scarlet Red, and MotoGP Edition. However, a slight change in the colour variant can also be seen in the Indian variant.
2023 Honda CBR150R could get a 149cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that can generate power of 16.09 HP at 9000 rpm. At the same time, the torque of 13.7 Nm can be generated at 7000 rpm. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox. It has been given the slip and assists the clutch. Talking about the braking system, a single-use disc has been used in it, which will come with ABS and Emergency Stop Single (ESS). The company wants to increase its presence on entry-level bikes. The company hopes that this will help it increase its market share again.

Discussions and Questions Honda CBR150R
Which one is better - Honda CBR150R or Bajaj Pulsar NS200?
The choice between the Honda CBR150R and the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 depends on several factors, including performance, features, and personal preferences. The Honda CBR150R is powered by a 149.16 cc engine, producing 17.1 PS of power at 9000 rpm and 14.4 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm. It features a 6-speed manual transmission, liquid-cooled engine, and dual-channel ABS. The bike has a kerb weight of 139 kg, a seat height of 782 mm, and a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters. It also boasts advanced features like an LED headlight, taillight, and turn signal lamps, along with a digital instrument console. In contrast, the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 comes with a 199.5 cc engine, delivering 24.5 PS of power at 9750 rpm and 18.74 Nm of torque at 8000 rpm. It has a 6-speed manual transmission and single-channel ABS. The Pulsar NS200 has a kerb weight of 159.5 kg, a seat height of 805 mm, and a fuel tank capacity of 12 liters. It also features a digital instrument cluster and LED DRLs, but lacks the advanced suspension and braking system of the CBR150R. If you prioritize higher power and torque, the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 might be the better choice. However, if you prefer a more agile and feature-rich sports bike with better handling and braking, the Honda CBR150R could be more suitable. The CBR150R's lower weight and advanced suspension make it more appealing for those who value maneuverability and comfort in a sports bike[5).
What is the EMI of Honda CBR150R bike?
The EMI for the Honda CBR150R bike can vary based on the loan period and interest rate. For a loan amount of approximately ?1.53 lakh, the EMI starts at ?3,139 per month for a loan period of 60 months at an 8.5% interest rate. Alternatively, for a shorter loan period of 36 months, the EMI can be around ?5,217 to ?5,124 per month, depending on the variant and the down payment made[4).
Is CBR150R good for daily use?
The Honda CBR150R is generally suitable for daily use, despite some limitations. It is praised for its comfortable riding posture and usable pillion seat, making it convenient for both the rider and the passenger. The bike is easy to maneuver in city traffic due to its short wheelbase and responsive steering. However, it suffers from poor low-down torque, which can make it sluggish in city driving, particularly in low RPM ranges. Once the engine reaches higher RPMs , it performs well and provides sufficient power. The bike also returns excellent fuel economy, with mileage ranging from 34.8 km/l to 44.4 km/l, depending on the riding conditions. Additionally, the bike's maintenance is relatively low, with regular servicing and chain lubrication being the main requirements. Overall, while it may not be ideal for very slow city traffic due to its torque issues, it is a reliable and comfortable option for daily commuting and occasional long rides.
Is CBR150R good for beginners?
The Honda CBR150R is an excellent choice for beginners due to its user-friendly design, comfortable riding position, and balanced performance. It features a lightweight frame and a low seat height, making it easy to handle and maneuver, especially for new riders. The bike is powered by a 149cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed gearbox, providing smooth gear transitions and a fun yet controlled ride. Additionally, the CBR150R comes with a modern braking system, including disc brakes at both the front and rear, and the option for dual-channel ABS, enhancing safety and confidence for beginners. The fully digital instrument cluster and ergonomic design ensure that riders have all the necessary information and a comfortable riding experience, making the CBR150R a solid option for those new to sport biking.
Is CBR150R comfortable?
The Honda CBR150R is renowned for its comfort, particularly in the sports bike category. It features an inverted telescopic front suspension and a Pro-Link Monoshock rear suspension, which provide excellent handling, stability, and ride comfort. The bike's ergonomics are well thought out, with a plush and supportive seat and intuitively placed controls, ensuring a comfortable riding position even during long journeys. The 782mm low seat height contributes to a more upright riding position, enhancing comfort for riders. Additionally, the bike's suspension setup allows it to breeze through small potholes and speed bumps without compromising control, making it an excellent choice for both daily commuting and long-distance travel[5).

Great model and I am eagerly awaiting
The Honda CBR150R is a great model and I am eagerly awaiting the launch of the CBR150R Ex Motion. It looks like a little Harley Davidson, and I'm sure that it will be a winner in the market. I'm a bike lover and a marketing person and I use it for my daily long drives, so I'm looking forward to a 150 cc bike with minimum 45 kmpl and a price tag below 1.50 lakhs. Models like the Honda Unicorn 150, Yamaha FZ, Suzuki Gixxer etc. will be great options.
An ideal choice for those who want a sporty bike that can tackle everyday commutes
The Honda CBR150R is an ideal choice for those who want a sporty bike that can tackle everyday commutes. The bike has a stylish look and is equipped with a comfortable seat for both the rider and the pillion. The engine is powerful and offers a smooth ride. In addition to this, the bike is also fuel efficient. The overall performance makes it a great choice for both experienced and novice riders alike.
Definitely a unique bike
The Honda CBR150R is definitely a unique bike and has an aggressive look that resembles a 600cc bike. It looks fabulous and has a comfortable riding posture, so it's no wonder people are excited for its launch. It's a refined engine beast with great features, so I'm definitely waiting for it with anticipation!
Honda CBR150R is the best 150 cc bike in India
Trust me, the bike is butter smooth and even aggressive at high end RPM's. Comfortable, sporty and aggression filled, these three words define the character of my bike.
Best Features: Aggressive @ 9000RPM
Pros: Design, High end power, Mileage, Comfort
Cons: Bad switch gear, Low quality foot pegs
Awesome Machine to Ride
I find my CBR150R motorcycle beyond the expectations and it is worth of every single penny I spent. Riding the bike is so much fun and that's the reason I never get bored riding it even after 10 months. Yes, I felt pain in my wrists initially because I was not used to the sitting position but now I am comfortable. It returns me mileage of 40-42 kmpl from which I am satisfied. Like nothing is perfect, it too have some minor problems which I don't consider in front of its good features.
Best Features: Performance and Looks
Pros: Easy to handle, Styling, Performance, Riding posture
Cons: Costly, Old foot pegs, Bad switch gear, No ABS

Honda is now out of the market it's been April month dealership said they don't know what is next step to BS4 complaint. But we are expecting much more as others two wheeler companies providing two wheelers in the market. Honda if want to survive in this competition then they have to upgrade in all side.

Hey guys im little confused.. Which one is the best??? Honda Cbr 150r(2016) or bajaj pulsar rs 200?? Rs looks great but my friend says that lot of vibrations are coming out from the rs... So anyone suggest me the best please.........
hi guys i wanna buy this bike but i have a little confusion about the colour means whih color i havve to select suggest me guys expect red remaining 2 colors i.e.., and black and black
Hey ..I'm a great fan of cbr but the thing you people made some silly mistake like the side mirror it disappoint the bike look .one bike rider expect a lot but you guys done the mistake easily ...and why you guys are comparing your bike models in yamaha, hero they are not your opponents..you need to consider opponent as benelli, ducati like...Indian people are expecte super bikes in honda..don't just think and create like bike ...you need to build a device which is performing awesome and just blast tht streets and highways. ...
you people forget a thing , honda never cares about the indian market ... this was the story which was given in many sites for the 2015 double lamp version.. but it never came , for an utter disappointment they give sticker color change (seriously!!). but its competitors are giving ut new colours and varients every month .. i would say that "honda please consider yamaha as the competetion not the hero motocorp" i am saying this bcause as you analyse the indian market honda twowheelers lmt will lauch new products against hero only .. they never consider this cbr sector .
i am an cbr owner and i am much disappointed about the hondas you go and f*** yourself attitude towards indiaan customers .
Is everyone ignoring the fact that this bike has no engine kill switch?
Wow the looks of this one is far better than old cbr nd current r15 but why the brake horse power is reduced to [email protected] would dominate the sports bike segment in india with this bike but the old gen high rev DOHC engine which generated 18.28bhp@10500rpm was very awsome machine by HONDA.That bike(old cbr) can easily beat any bike upto as200 in a 1km drag race(my personal experience).Hope this underpowered engine perform good on the road coz torque figures seems to be improved well.
Please bring this one with atleast pass switch nd engine kill switch every bike has got such things
Bring ABS TECHNOLOGY AT LEAST AS OPTIONAL
please announce the launch date of this bike....
When will it available in odisha?
I Like the new version, but my Most Favorite colour Combination is The Black with Palm Green highlight. Does the new CBR 150r has any further Plan in Future to Launch of this model in that Particular Combination. Please let me know.
