But is this good first car life with the Vios for new drivers or other options are better?
31 December 2024 07:24
I think new drivers would have more benefit from a car with advance safety features such as autonomous emergency braking but the Vios is okay. These technologies can be a real lifesaver for inexperienced drivers, and many newer, similarly priced cars offer them.
Is one of the things missing from the Hilux which may put off modern buyers its lack of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS)?
31 December 2024 06:10
It's a non-issue. When you remember that most Hilux buyers just want toughness and reliability, and not the latest tech features, it’s no surprise that painting an actual product for a virtual model simply is not a priority.
How does the HiAce perform as an everyday driver in urban situations?
30 December 2024 12:29
As a tradesman, it's perfect. I have the city down and can get around, and I always have my tools on me. Nothing else I'd trade it for.
Is the Toyota Celica a good car for a new driver?
30 December 2024 11:00
Personally, I'd say no. For new drivers, something more forgiving is where to focus learning. Someone who’s just beginning to learn how to drive might find the Celica’s sportier handling and lack of visibility a bit much.
Is the Ritz a good first car to buy for new drivers in 2024?
30 December 2024 10:24
I began with a Ritz and liked it. For a new driver in 2024, I’d likely want something with a bit more modern safety features than the 2013 Altima offers.
What has been the effect of the Maruti Tour H3 on the livelihood of Indian taxi drivers?
30 December 2024 09:07
I'm not so sure. The popularity of the Tour H3 has flooded the market with taxis, and it is getting increasingly difficult for drivers to make a living. It's a race to the bottom.
The Maruti Tour H1: Is it really just a stripped down Alto for taxi drivers or does it have some hidden gems?
30 December 2024 08:19
I've driven both the regular Alto and the Tour H1 and to be honest, the differences aren't that much different from those that people make it out to be. Of course, you lose some bells and whistles, but the heart and soul of what makes the Alto great is still there. I kinda dig the Tour H1 feeling more purpose built.
Is the Swift the best first car for new drivers in India?
30 December 2024 08:09
We can’t forget that there are automatic variants. Even for new drivers in heavy traffic, the Swift AMT is still one of the cheapest and most reliable options.
Does the Super Carry’s bare bones interior have any impact on driver comfort on long hauls?
30 December 2024 07:57
It's all about expectations. It’s rough if you’re coming from a car. It’s not bad at all if you’re used to old school trucks.
Is the Alto K10 a good car for new drivers?
30 December 2024 07:09
Absolutely not. All the safety features new drivers can get, they need. These days the basic kit of the K10 just doesn't cut it. You'll spend a little more, but get something with better crash protection and stability control.
Are new drivers being set up for failure when they learn to drive in an Alto setting, only to switch to bigger cars?
30 December 2024 06:57
It makes sense to start out with an Alto. You’re better off learning the rules of the road in a forgiving car than a powerful one.
Are city drivers worried about the XUV300's fuel efficiency?
27 December 2024 12:07
I don't think it's that bad, people make it out to be. Yes, it’s not as efficient as a Maruti but the power you get compensates for it. In Mumbai traffic I'm getting about 12-13 kmpl.
Is the Thar Roxx actually a practical family daily driver?
27 December 2024 11:38
It’s still too rugged for comfortable daily use, but it’s getting close. However, it doesn’t ride as well as other similarly priced SUVs.
Is the Thar Roxx's wheel hop issue a daily driver killer?
27 December 2024 11:33
This is something Mahindra needs to address. It may not be unsafe, but it is certainly alarming for a 25 lakh vehicle.
Is the Thar Roxx really a practical daily driver for a family?
27 December 2024 11:33
And for the small family that loves outdoors, it’s perfect. There are better options, though, for regular urban use.
Is owning a Thar a bad driver or that is a stereotype?
27 December 2024 11:27
The issue is not the Thar itself, but a lack of proper driver education in India. Any powerful vehicle can be a dangerous thing in the wrong hands. All drivers need better training, and stricter enforcement of traffic rules.
The Mahindra Jeeto’s comfort and ergonomics for drivers doing long hours?
27 December 2024 09:25
I work 10-12 hour shifts in my Jeeto and, to be honest, it’s not bad. The controls are easy to reach and the seat's decent. It’s no luxury car, but for a mini truck it’s surprisingly comfortable. So that’s a win in my book, my back doesn’t kill me at the end of the day.
Should Tata Ace drivers be given a special license category?
26 December 2024 12:52
Absolutely. Driving the Ace isn't like driving other vehicles and requires a special skill to do safely. Drivers could be properly trained, and in fact, it may even professionalize the industry, if they got a special license.
Why are Tata Ace drivers always on a hurry?
26 December 2024 12:52
And as someone who has worked in logistics, I can tell you, it's all about the numbers. Because these guys are paid per delivery, every minute counts. I know they drive like that, it’s not right, but I get why they do.

26 December 2024 12:45
