Is the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory too much for street use?
15 January 2025 09:22
It's overkill, depending on your definition of "overkill." The Tuono Factory is the ultimate street bike experience if that’s what you’re after. It's not practical, that's not what it's meant to be. It's about the thrill.
What’s the character and riding experience like on the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory compared to its Japanese rivals?
15 January 2025 09:22
There is no league for the Tuono. There is a character to that V4 engine that no inline four can match. It's just raw, visceral and you just feel like it's special in a way that Japanese bikes aren't.
Does the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory’s fuel consumption cross the line for potential buyers?
15 January 2025 09:22
It's part of the experience! If you're buying a bike like this and fuel economy is important, you've got the wrong bike. It isn’t about the miles per gallon, it’s about the thrill.
How does the Aprilia Tuono 150 track compared to street?
15 January 2025 09:09
But on track, I don't find it underwhelming. The ergonomics aren’t great for tucking, and it's not got enough power to be exciting on straights.
What first modifications are Aprilia Tuono 150 owners making?
15 January 2025 09:09
Honestly, I'd leave it stock. It’s hard to argue with the Aprilia engineers, they know what they’re doing, and we don’t.
Is Aprilia’s Tuono 150 worth the premium price over other 150cc sportbikes?
15 January 2025 09:09
It depends on what you value. If you can afford it, and want the best 150 out there, go for it. It’s not for if you just need basic transportation.
Is the Aprilia Tuono 150 good for beginners or not?
15 January 2025 09:09
It depends on the rider. It could be fine if you can control yourself and if you’re mature. Most newbies would be better off with a 300cc bike, however.
How does the Aprilia Tuono 150 stack up against its Japanese rivals?
15 January 2025 09:09
You’ll find that Japanese bikes don’t have as bad resale value and parts are easier to find. The Aprilia is impractical, but cool.
Is the RSV4 1100 Factory's electronics package too much for most riders?
15 January 2025 09:04
If you actually learn to use it, it’s not overkill. It took me a little time to dial in my preferences, but I just love messing with settings for different conditions.
Do the aerodynamic winglets on the RSV4 1100 Factory actually do anything or are they just for show?
15 January 2025 09:04
The real benefit, though, is psychological. Confidence is a nice thing to have and knowing you have MotoGP tech on your bike makes you feel like a badass and that confidence translates to better riding.
How is real world heat management on the RSV4 1100 Factory?
15 January 2025 09:04
The heat’s not great, but that’s the price you pay for that glorious V4. The only thing I do is to plan my rides outside of the heavy traffic hours.
Is the Aprilia RSV4 1100 Factory a bike too much for the street?
15 January 2025 09:04
If you have self control, I think it's fine. It’s surprisingly manageable with the electronics. You have to be honest with yourself, though, if you can’t resist the temptation to go nuts, then maybe something a little tamer is in order.
How does the RSV4 1100 Factory stack up for reliability against Japanese superbikes?
15 January 2025 09:04
The reliability issues are exaggerated by people. Modern Aprilias are solid. Yeah, they may need more attention than a Honda, but that’s part of the allure of owning an exotic bike.
The FZ-10’s reliability compared to the Euro competitors BMW S1000R and Aprilia Tuono?
10 January 2025 08:33
They're all pretty close these days, I'd say. BMW and Aprilia have really closed the gap in terms of reliability. The real difference is that the Yamaha is usually cheaper to service.

Is Aprilia RSV4 a good bike?
06 September 2023 11:00

The swingarm makes little difference to life at road speeds, but that's no bad thing because it's still one of the best handling bikes money can buy, anyway and glides over tarmac with breath-taking poise and accuracy, with a far suppler and less fidgety ride than its main rival: the Ducati Panigale V4 S.
