Renault Captur RXE

About
The Renault Captur RXE is a crossover SUV that combines stylish design with robust performance and comfortable ride quality. It features a commanding seating position, with the drivers seat offering ample height adjustment, though it can feel a bit too high for some drivers. The interior is well-appointed with features like projector headlamps, automatic climate control, and a four-speaker audio system, although the infotainment system lacks modern connectivity options. The vehicle is available in both petrol and diesel engines, with the diesel engine being particularly praised for its strong mid-range performance. The Captur RXE also boasts excellent ground clearance, making it adept at handling various road conditions in India. However, ingress and egress to the rear seats can be a bit challenging due to the narrower opening. Overall, the Captur RXE is a solid option for those seeking a stylish, feature-rich, and comfortable SUV that is well-suited for Indian driving conditions.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Renault Captur RXE is a compelling option in the mid-SUV segment, especially for those who value style, comfort, and a robust driving experience. While it may not excel in every aspect, it certainly stands out with its striking design, excellent ground clearance of 210mm, and a comfortable ride quality that handles Indian roads admirably. The engine, particularly the diesel variant, offers strong mid-range performance, making it suitable for both city and highway driving. However, the lack of an automatic transmission and the absence of modern infotainment features like Android Auto and Google CarPlay are notable drawbacks. Additionally, the rear seating space, though adequate, could be more generous. Despite these minor hiccups, the Captur RXE is a solid choice for those seeking a feature-packed, comfortable, and stylish SUV.
Price
The Renault Captur RXE was priced competitively in the Indian market. At the time of its availability, the ex-showroom price in New Delhi started at around Rs 9.50 lakh for the base RXE variant. When considering on-road prices, which include additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other taxes, the total cost would typically range from Rs 11 lakh to Rs 12 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. This pricing makes the Captur RXE an attractive option, especially when compared to other mid-SUVs in the market, offering a good balance of features and value for money.
Latest Updates
Thursday, 18 June 2020 06:17 PM The Renault Captur has been removed from the Indian market due to the vehicle not being updated to meet the BS6 emission norms. This decision was made in June 2020, marking the end of the Capturs run in India. I think this was a necessary step to comply with environmental regulations, but its a shame for fans of the Captur.
Thursday, 18 June 2020 11:35 AM The Renault Captur was known for its feature-packed interior, including automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and a 7.0-inch touchscreen with built-in navigation. These features made it a comfortable and tech-savvy option in its segment. I believe these features were a significant selling point, making the Captur a compelling choice for many buyers.
Thursday, 18 June 2020 01:02 PM Before its discontinuation, the Renault Captur was priced starting from Rs. 9.50 lakh for the base RXE petrol variant, going up to Rs. 13 lakh for the top-spec Platine variant. This pricing made it competitive in the Indian SUV market. I think the pricing strategy was well thought out, but the lack of an automatic transmission might have deterred some potential buyers.
Thursday, 18 June 2020 05:24 AM The Renault Captur boasted a modern European design and stood out with its flamboyant styling, which was a unique selling point in the Indian market. The vehicle also had a silent cabin and well-controlled NVH levels, enhancing the driving experience. I believe the design was one of the Capturs strongest aspects, setting it apart from other SUVs.
Thursday, 18 June 2020 03:39 AM The Captur came with two engine options: a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 105 bhp and a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 109 bhp, both paired with a manual transmission. The diesel variant offered an impressive mileage of 20.37 kmpl. I think the diesel engine was particularly popular for its performance and fuel efficiency.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 09:56 PM The mileage of the Renault Captur RXE is quite satisfactory, especially for a vehicle in its class. The diesel variant, which is commonly preferred in India, offers a fuel efficiency of around 15.79 kmpl on highways and approximately 10.72 kmpl in city driving conditions. These figures are respectable and can help in managing running costs, making the Captur RXE a practical choice for daily use as well as long road trips.

It's a very good looking car. I like its a head-turning appearance on the road. Its dual-tone colour is astonishing.it has very good ground clearance. The best feature of the car is smart key. Also 17. Inch machine cut alloy wheels are very cool in appearance. Hill assist is also very wonderful it helps me a lot when I go through my house ramp. Cruise control is wonderful. However, leather seats are a little bit hard but it may be good for long drive. Overall it is a very good SUV

Best Features: Very good engineering

Pros: It's built Quality

Cons: Engine in 2nd gear works only at high speed
