About
The Hyundai i10 Era is a compact hatchback that has been well-regarded in India for its compact design, ease of handling, and reliable performance. Powered by a 1.1-liter engine producing around 66 bhp, it offers a peppy drive that is well-suited for stop-and-go city traffic. The transmission is smooth, and the car features comfortable seating with good cushioning, making long drives manageable. The boot space is excellent, better than some of its competitors like the WagonR, which is a significant advantage for those who need to carry luggage or groceries. While it may lack some modern features, its simplicity and durability make it a practical choice for daily use. Overall, the i10 Era is a solid option for those seeking a reliable, easy-to-drive car that can handle the demands of urban driving.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hyundai i10 Era, although an older model, still holds its ground in the Indian market for its reliability and practicality. From my perspective, this car is ideal for city driving due to its peppy engine and smooth transmission, making it a joy to navigate through congested urban roads. However, it lacks in terms of mileage, which could be a significant concern for those looking to minimize running costs. The interior is comfortable, with good cushioning on the seats and ample boot space, making it a great option for small families or individuals who need a reliable daily driver. While it may not boast the latest features, its simplicity and durability make it a solid choice for those seeking a hassle-free ownership experience.
Price
In India, the Hyundai i10 Eras pricing has varied over time, but as of its last sales period, the ex-showroom price for the base model was around Rs. 4.5 lakh to Rs. 5.5 lakh, depending on the region and any additional features. The on-road price, including taxes, registration, and other costs, would typically range from Rs. 5.5 lakh to Rs. 6.5 lakh. Given its age and the current market, these prices are relatively competitive, especially considering the cars reliability and the brands after-sales service. However, its important to note that prices can fluctuate based on location and any local incentives or discounts.
Latest Updates
Thursday, 02 May 2024 01:10 AM
The Grand i10 Nios has seen significant sales success, with cumulative sales reaching 3 million units in India by May 2024. This milestone underscores the cars popularity and reliability. I think this is a testament to Hyundais commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
Sunday, 24 March 2024 08:49 AM
The waiting period for the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, including the Era variant, has been reduced to up to eight weeks for the base model and up to six weeks for other variants as of March 2024. This reduction is a welcome change for potential buyers. I think this is a good sign for Hyundai, indicating improved production and delivery efficiency.
Friday, 20 January 2023 01:55 PM
In January 2023, Hyundai launched a facelift for the Grand i10 Nios, which includes a redesigned front fascia and new tail lights. This update aims to keep the model fresh and competitive in the market. I believe these cosmetic changes will appeal to buyers looking for a modern look.
Tuesday, 20 August 2019 10:27 AM
The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, including the Era variant, is available with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine, paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automated manual transmission. This engine option provides a balance between performance and fuel efficiency. I think the manual transmission is still the better choice for those who enjoy driving.
Mileage
Thursday, 21 November 2024 07:29 PM
The mileage of the Hyundai i10 Era is a point of concern, particularly for city driving. It offers around 12-15 kmpl in urban conditions, which is lower compared to some of its contemporaries. While this might not be ideal for those looking to save on fuel costs, the cars performance and ease of handling in city traffic somewhat compensate for this drawback. If mileage is a top priority, you might want to consider other options, but if you value a smooth driving experience and reliable performance, the i10 Era still has its merits.

Hyundai i10 Era Discussion
i have bought an i10. where can i get good alloywheels . do i need to switch to tubeless tyres for putting alloys
rear seat comfor better than my maruti astar but astar mileage is very gud. But choosed mileage and brand name and service wise maruti suzuki is best in india
Iam using i10 for the past 3 years. Recently I had a bitter experience with its fuel pipe connecting petrol tank with engine fuel-inlet. To my surprise, this pipe is purely made out of PVC and my car had a rodent bit on this pipe. Petrol was flowing profusely out through out the way until some one spotted this. This is a serious design flaw in i10.
iam using i10 new gen from past 5 months with single hand maintainance, its really very cool and gives handy controled driving.. the only drawback is with its mileage.. it is giving only 10kmps per lit on highway, its not at all economy. this is the huge draw back in this petrol hike period :-(
I'm Planning to get this car this December do you guys think i can go for it... hence its being my first car i want to be the best i have VW polo in mind but this i10 is cost effective what do you guys suggest???
its a really nice car. Easy to maneuver especially in tight parking spots. U turns are very comfortable. pedals are soft . city sweet drives. But not so comfy on high roads and risky to for full curves..beware.
Its a cool new segment launched by Hyundai. I like and even have this Next Gen i10.
