Hyundai i10 LPG Magna
Hyundai Variant
General information and overview
The Hyundai i10 LPG Magna is a well-rounded compact car designed with the urban driver in mind. It comes equipped with a 1.1-litre petrol engine that can run on LPG, providing a good balance of power and efficiency. The car features body-colored bumpers and door handles, all power windows, central locking, and a powerful air-conditioner that cools the cabin quickly. The light steering and clutch combo make it easy to maneuver in city traffic, and the cars compact size allows for easy parking in tight spots. While it may not excel on highways or steep inclines, the i10 LPG Magna is more than capable of handling daily city driving with ease and efficiency. The interior is comfortable, with features like power windows and a rear seat armrest, making it a practical choice for both solo drivers and small families.
Expert opinion and recommendation
The Hyundai i10 LPG Magna is a practical and efficient choice for city driving, especially for those looking to minimize fuel costs. My experience with this vehicle has been positive, particularly in urban settings where its light steering and clutch make navigation through traffic a breeze. The 1.1-litre petrol engine, even when running on LPG, provides adequate power and refinement, making it suitable for daily commutes. However, its worth noting that the cars performance can be lacking on steep inclines when on LPG, though it still manages without significant effort. The absence of advanced safety features is a drawback, but for its price and segment, the i10 LPG Magna offers a balanced package of comfort, fuel efficiency, and ease of driving.
Recent news and announcements
The Hyundai i10 LPG Magna is priced at Rs 430,659 for the 1.1 Magna variant, which is Rs 27,630 more than the existing petrol model. This pricing makes it an attractive option for those seeking a fuel-efficient vehicle without compromising on features. The vehicle comes with a full 2-year manufacturer warranty for the LPG system, ensuring peace of mind for customers. I think the pricing is competitive given the additional features.
The i10 LPG Magna features several safety and performance enhancements, including an impact-resistant LPG kit certified by ARAI. The vehicle also includes features like central locking, keyless entry, and a rear camera, making it a well-rounded package. I believe these safety features are a significant selling point.
The Hyundai i10 LPG Magna, with its factory-fitted LPG kit, offers a unique blend of performance and fuel efficiency. The vehicle features a 1.1 litre iRDE2 engine and comes with separate petrol and LPG tanks, allowing users to switch between the two fuels. This model also includes innovative technologies like the Alternator Management System (AMS) and a Manual Shift Indicator to enhance fuel efficiency. I think this dual-fuel option is a great feature for those looking to save on fuel costs.
Hyundais decision to offer the i10 LPG Magna with a factory-fitted LPG kit has been seen as a strategic move to cater to the growing demand for fuel-efficient vehicles in India. This move aligns with the companys focus on providing eco-friendly and cost-effective options to customers. I believe this strategy will pay off in the long run.
The i10 LPG Magnas design includes a special Toroidal LPG tank that allows for intelligent use of space, resulting in a larger boot space compared to other LPG-fitted models. This design aspect makes the vehicle more practical for daily use. I think this is a clever use of space.
Pricing details and changes
The Hyundai i10 LPG Magna, although discontinued, was priced competitively during its time. The ex-showroom price for this variant was around Rs. 4.50 lakh. When considering on-road prices, which include additional costs such as registration, insurance, and other taxes, the total would have been approximately Rs. 5.20 lakh to Rs. 5.50 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. Given its features and fuel efficiency, this pricing made it an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers. However, since the model is no longer in production, potential buyers would need to look at used car markets or consider newer models with similar specifications.
Fuel efficiency information
The Hyundai i10 LPG Magna offers a commendable mileage, especially for those concerned about running costs. With an ARAI-certified mileage of 19.2 kmkg on LPG, this car is quite efficient for city driving. In real-world conditions, you can expect a mileage of around 15-17 kmkg, which is still very competitive. This makes the i10 LPG Magna a good choice for those who prioritize fuel efficiency and lower operating expenses.

Excellent car with exceptional quality and mileage. Recently a bus hit my car so badly that i thought it's bumper is gone, but just a small dent which surprised me. The mileage was less when new but after 2nd servicing it has increased. It's an awesome car for small family and best for Indian roads. It can compete with all Maruti cars which boast of Indian friendly environment and the cars of the same segment. Great car....close your eyes and go for it..believe me....
TOTALLY HUNDAI I10 IS SUPER BUT ITS MILEAGE IS DISAPPOINTED MEE..
