Our take on this /// Verdict
The Zontes 350X is a compelling addition to the Indian motorcycle market, particularly in the sports touring segment. From my experience, this bike stands out with its sleek and captivating design, which is often compared to higher-capacity bikes like the Ninja 1000 SX. The build quality and fit and finish are exceptional, with features like dual-channel ABS, USD forks, and a robust braking system that includes a 320 mm front disc. The riding experience is fatigue-free, thanks to its ergonomic seating and adjustable levers. While the pillion seat could be more spacious, the overall package is impressive, making it a strong contender for those looking for a sporty yet practical touring bike.
Price
The Zontes 350X is priced competitively in the Indian market. As of my last update, the ex-showroom price for the Zontes 350X is around 3.5 lakhs, though this can vary slightly depending on the state and local taxes. On-road prices, including registration, insurance, and other costs, can range from 4.2 lakhs to 4.5 lakhs. Given its features, performance, and build quality, the 350X offers good value for money, especially when compared to other bikes in its segment. 2024 Zontes 350X on road price is Rs 3.44 lakh in Delhi, Rs 3.56 lakh in Mumbai, Rs 3.48 lakh in Kolkata and Rs 3.53 lakh in Chennai. The prices mentioned here are approximate and we suggest you contact your nearest Jawa dealership to get the exact on-road price quote in your city.
Latest Updates
Wednesday, 17 January 2024 03:10 PM Zontes has announced a significant price reduction for the 350X, making it more affordable in the Indian market. The new price of the Zontes 350X is Rs. 2.99 lakh, a reduction of Rs. 46,000. This move is part of Zontes strategy to boost sales and compete more effectively with other brands. I believe this price cut could attract more buyers, especially those looking for a sporty tourer.
Wednesday, 17 January 2024 03:41 PM The Zontes 350X is now available in three color variants: Black and Green, Silver and Orange, and Black and Gold. This variety should appeal to a broader range of customers, each with their own style preferences. The bike features a 348cc single-cylinder engine, 6-speed gearbox, and Bosch 9.1M dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety. I think the color options will help the 350X stand out in a crowded market.
Wednesday, 17 January 2024 10:58 AM Zontes has highlighted the 350X as the most affordable sports tourer in the Indian market. With its 348cc liquid-cooled DOHC single-cylinder engine producing 39bhp and 32.8 Nm of torque, it offers a compelling package for touring enthusiasts. The bike also features a 43mm USD fork and monoshock suspension, making it suitable for long rides. I believe the combination of performance and comfort will make the 350X a strong contender in its segment.
Thursday, 18 January 2024 01:20 AM Despite the aggressive pricing strategy, Zontes still faces challenges in India due to its limited dealer and service network. However, the recent price cuts for the 350X, along with other models, are a step in the right direction to gain more traction. The 350Xs specifications, including its 19-liter fuel tank and 36 kmpl mileage, make it an attractive option for riders. I think Zontes needs to focus on expanding its service network to fully capitalize on these price reductions.
Wednesday, 17 January 2024 08:52 PM The Zontes 350X is positioned as a tough competitor to other popular bikes like the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. With its sporty design, robust engine, and advanced features like Bosch ABS, it offers a strong alternative. The bikes kerb weight of 185 kg and tubeless tyres add to its appeal. I believe the 350X has the potential to carve out a significant market share if Zontes can improve its after-sales service.
Mileage
Monday, 18 November 2024 04:44 PM The mileage of the Zontes 350X is a crucial factor for potential buyers, especially in India where fuel efficiency is a significant consideration. With its 348cc single-cylinder engine, the bike is designed to offer a balance between performance and economy. In economy mode, the bike is more inclined towards fuel efficiency, and users have reported an average mileage of around 30-35 kmpl in mixed riding conditions. However, this can vary based on riding style, road conditions, and the mode selected. In sport mode, the mileage might be slightly lower due to the increased power output, but it still remains respectable. Overall, the 350X provides a satisfactory mileage that should appeal to both touring enthusiasts and daily commuters. Zontes 350X Review

Quick Review by Maxabout Team

The 2024 Zontes 350X is an entry-level luxury sports tourer that comes with a lot of amenities and a well-performing liquid-cooled engine. The bike looks decent overall and has a good road presence.

In India, the Zontes 350X bike has a starting price of Rs. 3,35,000. Zentos is only offering one variant with three different colours. The 348cc BS6 engine powers the Zontes 350X. The Zontes 350X has an anti-lock braking system together with both front and rear disc brakes.

To compete with motorcycles like the KTM 390 Adventure and BMW G 310 GS, Zontes has introduced the 350X in India. Black Gold, Black Green, and Silver Orange are the three colour possibilities for this tourer motorcycle's single variation. The 2024 Zontes 350X's ex-showroom pricing is impacted by the colour options. For comparison, Black Gold is the least expensive choice, whilst Black Green and Silver Orange have a higher suggested retail price.

This tourer's 17-inch, five-spoke alloy wheels are fitted with 120/70-section front and 160/60-section rear tyres because it is primarily intended for the road. Full-LED illumination, a colour display, and dual-channel ABS are among the features. The motorcycle also has a mono-shock in the back, upside-down front forks, and single-disc brakes on both ends.

For the whole Zontes 350 line, the mechanical parameters are the same. Thus, the 348cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine of the 350X is used. The motor is tuned to have a maximum output of 38.8 HP at 9,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 32.8 Nm at 7,500 rpm. It is connected to a six-speed gearbox. Customers can book the new Zontes 350X now for a nominal fee of Rs 10,000.

Attractive bike with a sleek design, making it a great eye-candy for bike enthusiasts

The Zontes 350R is an attractive bike with a sleek design, making it a great eye-candy for bike enthusiasts. However, the performance of the bike is not as confidence-inspiring as the KTM Duke or the Yamaha MT series. There were some issues with the bike in terms of shifting from 3rd to 4th gear, which had to be done more than once before it would engage. The pickup and performance were also acceptable, but could still use some refinement. There was also a pinging noise when revving the engine, which is something that I have not heard on any other bike.

Overall, the Zontes 350R is an acceptable bike for its price point, however, I wouldn't recommend purchasing one right away until the company solves the issues and offers a refreshed model. I do have some concerns about the engine due to its lower quality material, which I experienced firsthand with my Lifan bike in Qatar. While I hope that this bike will do well in our markets and give the KTM bikes a run for their money, the current model should be handled with caution.

Impressive engine, but its build quality does not stand up to the competition

Anika Agrawal | 2 years ago

The Zontes 350R has an impressive engine, but its build quality does not stand up to the competition. It's lack of refinement and higher price than its rivals make it a less attractive proposition. That said, its bold design, and the feeling it gives you when you ride it hard and fast, make it a tempting option. However, if you are looking for a more refined, cost-effective ride, the BMW G 310R or the KTM 390 Duke may be better options.

The Zontes 350R is a great all

Pramod Kumar | 2 years ago

The Zontes 350R is a great all-rounder and will satisfy both the bike enthusiast looking for a bit of fun and the commuter who needs a reliable ride for the daily grind. The power delivery from the 348cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor is great, with 38PS of power and 32.8Nm of torque available. The 6-speed gearbox is aptly geared and the motor loves to be revved, with plenty of power available throughout the rev range. You'll have loads of fun revving this bike all the way up to the redline. The exhaust note is quite KTM-ish, and sounds great too. At low speeds, the engine is tractable and can cruise along in high gears without any issues. However, when riding at high speeds, things can feel a bit unsettling.

Keyless operation is a great addition

Shinde Vikas Ganesh | 2 years ago

The keyless operation is a great addition to Zontes 350R, as it allows you to start the bike with a single tap on your phone. The dual-channel ABS ensures better safety, while the TPMS helps you monitor your tyre pressure. The 5-inch LCD unit is the icing on the cake, as it allows you to see your speed, revs, and other metrics in a full-colour, anti-glare display. The screen mirroring function is also a great addition, as it allows you to use your phone as a navigation aid. With different layouts to choose from, you can be sure to find one which suits your style and preferences.

Tons of features with some downsides

Preeti Yadav | 2 years ago

The 350R comes with a ton of features, from keyless operation to dual-channel ABS and tyre pressure monitoring system, which I found to be really useful. The adjustable 5-inch full-colour anti-glare LCD unit with screen mirroring is also a neat addition, and the instrument panel is well-organised without feeling cluttered. I also appreciate the back-lit switches and buttons, which I haven't seen before.

One downside, though, is the placement of the USB charging port, which is placed in a very uncomfortable spot. It can be an obstruction to the steering if one plugs in the USB cable on the move, and it can also damage the cable in the process. The fuel cap and the seat lock also have handy buttons, meaning there's no need for a key. However, this could be a problem if the battery dies, which Zontes fortunately anticipates by providing an add-on 24-hour emergency roadside assistance service and a two-year unlimited km warranty.
