Yamaha YZF-R25 Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
The YZF-R25 supersport motorcycle is powered by a twin-cylinder engine made by Yamaha. It receives a fierce and angular design that is modelled after its larger Yamaha R6 sibling.
The new Yamaha R25 is available in three different paint schemes. Its design is inspired by the R series' larger supersport sibling. A dual-LED headlight setup, a tall visor, and an air intake duct give it an aggressive front-end appearance. It gets a muscular fuel tank as well as clean-looking side farings with R25 decals. Its design is impressive, and it appears to be high-end.
The Yamaha YZF-R25 is powered by a 249cc 4-stroke 2-cylinder engine. Its liquid-cooled DOHC engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. At 12,000 RPM, it produces 35.5 HP of max power and 22.6 Nm of peak torque. The Yamaha R25's high-revving engine delivers exceptional top-end performance. It has a top speed of around 173 km/h and a fuel efficiency of nearly 37 km/l on average.
It is built around a diamond-shaped frame that is both lightweight and agile. The Yamaha YZF-braking R25's system consists of a 298 mm 2-piston calliper disc brake at the front wheel and a single 220 mm disc brake at the rear. It also includes a dual-channel ABS system as standard. The suspension duties are handled by an inverted front fork and swingarm-linked rear mono cross suspension. The stylish 5-spoke cast alloy wheels on the Yamaha YZF-R25 complement the overall design of the bike. It has radial tyres, which improve handling and provide superior grip both on the road and on race tracks. It has 110/70-17 front tyres and 140/70-17 rear tyres.
It has the same digital multi-function instrument cluster as 2023 MT-25. The Yamaha YZF-R25 instrument console is attractive and simple to use. The speedometer, trip metre, tachometer, odometer, and fuel gauge are all displayed on the LCD console. The LCD console displays the engine temperature and a digital clock. Its console also includes a gear position indicator and real-time fuel efficiency.
Certain countries have seen the release of the YamahaYZF-R25 2023 model. This 250cc supersport is primarily sold in markets in Southeast Asia. Besides, given that the Yamaha R3 is already on the market in India, the chances of its 250cc sibling being released appear remote. There are currently no plans to launch the Yamaha YZF-R25 in India.
