The Scooty Pep Plus now costs more in India because of a price increase by TVS Motor Company. There are 2 variants of the Scooty Pep: Babelicious series, and Matte Edition. . Revving Red, Glittery Gold, Nero Brown, Frosted Black, Nero Blue, Princess Pink (Babelicious Series), Coral Matte, Aqua Matte are the colors that are offered. It is powered by a single-cylinder, air-cooled, 87.8cc engine that pumps out 6.5Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm and 5.3bhp of power at 6,500 rpm. 
 

The TVS Scooty Pep Plus has been discontinued due to the implementation of BS6 Phase 2 emission standards. Although it is still listed on TVSs website, the production of this scooter has ceased, and it will only be available at select dealerships until the existing stocks are depleted. The scooter was known for its lightweight design and peppy engine. I think this is a significant loss for urban commuters who valued its ease of handling and fuel efficiency.

TVS increased the prices of the BS6 Scooty Pep Plus by Rs. 800 across all variants. This price hike came into effect immediately, reflecting the ongoing market adjustments. To celebrate 25 years of the Scooty brand, TVS launched the Scooty Pep+ Matte Edition. This special edition introduced new colors like Coral Matte and Aqua Matte, along with a 3D emblem, fresh graphics, and a textured seat. The Matte Edition was priced at a premium of Rs. 1,500 over the standard version. I think this was a great way to commemorate the milestone and add some freshness to the design.

The Price of TVS Scooty Pep Plus 2023 is Rs 65,514 (ex-showroom) in India. Available in different colour options Revving Red, Glittery Gold, Nero Brown, Frosted Black, Nero Blue, Princess Pink (Babelicious Series), Coral Matte, and  Aqua Matte. 

Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges.
