TVS Draken was a concept bike and the production model based on it is Apache RTR 200, and the base model is priced @ Rs. 88,990. Draken's design and features clearly hints at some great product offerings with exceptional technological advancements for the coming future in the Indian market.

TVS Draken X-21 250cc Concept has got a lot of noteworthy features and praiseworthy design elements which includes an exposed aluminum trellis frame, a compact and unique LED headlight with daytime-running lamps, bar end rear view mirrors on a nicely placed handlebar, an underbelly exhaust which is a high-performance reverse flow exhaust system according to the company to boost power and efficiency.

The bike has an all-digital active matrix LCD display instrument console with a digital fuel gauge, speedometer and tachometer, two digital trip meters, a pass light, a stand alarm and the low fuel, oil and battery indicators. Draken has a muscular yet minimal design, low riding position, a well sculpted fuel tank with sharp extensions and scoops for aerodynamic purposes, a short tail with a bright tail light and turn indicators, a rear step-up seat, a maintenance free battery, self-start and alloyed wheels with 120 section rubber at front and 160 section rubber at rear.

TVS Draken X-21 250cc Concept has got a 249.2cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-valves DOHC based engine with a maximum power of 38.5bhp at 12,000rpm and a maximum torque of 23Nm at 9,500rpm and is mated with a six speed gearbox transmission with a company claimed mileage of 33.3kmpl. When can I buy TVS Draken in India?
29 December 2022 06:10
TVS Draken was a concept motorbike showcased by TVS at Auto Expo 2014. And the company will never launch Draken in India because it is only a concept model. Although TVS recently launched Apache RTR 200. Apache RTR 200 4V is hugely inspired by Draken, with futuristic technology in the naked street bike segment. Apache RTR 200 is priced at INT 89,215 ( ex-showroom ). It comes with a 197.75 cc engine which generates a maximum power of 20.23 bhp @ 8500 rpm and gives out a torque of 18.1 Nm @ 7000 rpm. I want to buy TVS Draken or Bajaj Pulsar CS200, which one is the best?
29 December 2022 06:07
Bajaj Pulsar CS 200 would be the only choice as TVS Draken would never be made into production by the same name. TVS has introduced Apache RTR 200, which looks good and even comes with a CS 200 rival engine. You can consider the RTR 200 4V or wait for the CS 200 in the coming months. Pulsar CS 200 is expected to get the power form the same 199.5 cc engine with fuel injection and liquid cooling, producing 24.5 HP and 18.6 Nm of torque with its 6-speed gearbox. The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V costs INR 88,990 while the CS 200 is expected to stay around INR 1 lakh or even more.
What is the top speed of TVS Draken X-21?
29 December 2022 06:03

I'm eagerly waiting for the launch of New Apache and I'm confused between TVS Draken and Apache?
29 December 2022 05:59
The Draken was a concept motorcycle and being the same, it would never get an official launch in the industry. The technology behind Draken and its bold design, both can be used in the new Apache. In other words, Draken is a dream and Apache is the reality. You can have an option between various Apache engines as it would soon be offered in 160, 180 and 200 cc variants. Apache 200 is expected to be the most powerful motorcycle of its segment. You can wait till 20th January and see if the design of the 200cc Apache is suitable for your choice.
Is TVS Draken equipped with the ABS system?
29 December 2022 05:52

TVS Draken was a concept bike shown at the Auto Expo and would not make way into the Indian automobile market. The TVT Apache RTR 200, which is expected to be launched soon is said to be based upon the Draken concept, but with a smaller engine option. The Draken was seen with a 250 cc, short stroke, race inspired engine producing 38.5 BHP and 23 NM of torque from its liquid cooled and fuel injected motor. With its light 134 kg body, the bike would have been really fast on the roads and the same DNA will flow through the new Apache RTR 200. The Draken was seen with a 6-speed transmission, making way for a 6-speed unit for the upcoming Apache.

I think it's a pretty good bike , collaboration of BMW &TVS. Eagerly waiting for it to launch. 38.5 bhp is the maximum power which no other 250cc segment bike will give you. Even Kawasaki Z250 priced @ 2.99L gives you 31 bhp ( twin cylinder).
Not to worry about the vibrations as its a naked bike also you can look at the specifications ( bore, stroke) pretty decent. The design I feel is going to be a little different from the one shown above in the pic.
Waiting to test drive and check for the refinement of the engine.
I'm doubtful about the certified mileage given above.
Power to weight ratio is just amazing even the Apache rtr 180 has a good power to weight ratio.
Launch : end of 2015.
Price : 2.6 L expected (Mumbai).

I swear, Indian bike manufacturers are on a roll this year. First we see the unexpected unveiling of Hero HX250R, and then 600CC Hatsur, Diesel powered bikes, electirc ones, and now this from TVS.

This is like a kick to the balls to the likes of international companies like Honda, Kawasaki, Hyosung, KTM, Yamaha, Suzuki, etc who ask a lot more money for the same performance. Dafaq have you been upto until now India?
