Suzuki Inazuma GW250

About
The Suzuki Inazuma GW250 is a 250cc twin-cylinder bike that was introduced in India with high hopes but ultimately faced discontinuation due to various market and distribution issues. This bike boasts a robust build quality, with high-quality components and excellent switchgear. The riding position is comfortable, with everything ergonomically placed for a smooth riding experience. It features a 248cc parallel-twin engine that provides steady and confident acceleration, though it may not be the most powerful in its class. The bike weighs around 183 kg, which can make it less agile but more stable at higher speeds. Despite its limitations, the Inazuma GW250 is well-suited for commuter riding and touring, offering a reliable and comfortable experience. Its handling is light and maneuverable, making it a great choice for urban and suburban riding. However, the lack of fairing and the upright riding position can make long highway rides somewhat tiresome due to wind resistance. Overall, the Inazuma GW250 is a solid, reliable bike that could have done well in the Indian market with better marketing and distribution.

USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Suzuki Inazuma GW250 is a bike that had immense potential but was marred by poor marketing and distribution strategies in India. From my perspective, this bike stands out for its exceptional build quality, with every component exhibiting high standards. The switchgear is among the best Ive seen on any bike in India, and the overall riding experience is confident and comfortable. However, the bikes heavy weight and low power output make it less suitable for high-speed riding or uphill climbs. Despite these limitations, it excels in commuter-style riding, offering a smooth and reliable experience. The lack of promotional efforts and limited availability at dealerships were significant drawbacks, but for those who had the chance to experience it, the Inazuma GW250 was a solid choice.
Price
When the Suzuki Inazuma GW250 was available in India, it was priced around 3.1 lakhs ex-showroom. This price point made it a bit steep for many potential buyers, especially considering the competition in the 250cc segment. However, after a price slash, it became a more sensible buy. On-road prices varied depending on the state and local taxes, but it generally hovered around 3.5 to 3.7 lakhs. The pricing was a critical factor in its market reception, as it needed to be more competitive to attract a wider audience. Despite its merits, the initial high price deterred many from considering this otherwise impressive bike.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 06:33 PM The Suzuki Inazuma GW250 offers decent mileage, which is a crucial factor for Indian buyers. With an estimated fuel efficiency of around 30-35 kml, it strikes a balance between performance and economy. This mileage is respectable for a 250cc bike, especially considering its weight and engine characteristics. For those concerned about running costs, the Inazuma GW250 is a viable option, providing a good blend of power and fuel efficiency.
