Suzuki Burgman 650 ABS Review
Quick Review by Maxabout Team
India has become one of the leading automobile markets in the world, attracting more and more global products for a better sales chart on our homeland. The most exciting are easily noticed and one of them would be the Burgman 650 Executive ABS. The name describes the product in short and its features would blow away the interest of many riders from the motorcycle world. Most probably being a CBU, its pricing is far away from the normal same sized machines.
Design & Style
The Burgman series is world famous for its bold and aggressive styling. It gets all the benefits of a motorcycle, yet retains all the comforts of a scooter. The 650 executive is a huge scooter with the front fascia matching to a full size faired motorcycle or even bigger than that. It gets a huge windshield over its twin headlight body structure, making it look more attractive than the others with a single headlight. The ide profile gets the divided seat feel with its integrated backrests for both the riders. The pillion seat is a bit raised for a comfortable leg posture. The exhaust seems to be derived from a race bike and gets neat chrome covering over it.
Do you think Suzuki should launch the Burgman 650 in India?

Instrument Console
The Burgman gets a car inspired instrument console with twin pod arrangement and a MID in the centre of both of these pods. The left side consists of an analogue speedometer whereas the right gets an analogue tachometer. The MID is a black and white screen with information regarding the temperature, trip distance, fuel, odometer, clock and other important notifications like oil change, oil level and service interval.
Engine & Gearbox
The Burgman 650 gets the power from a 638 cc, parallel twin, 4-stroke and liquid cooled engine and it produces 54 BHP @ 7,000 rpm and 61.78 NM @ 5,000 rpm. It gets the Suzuki fuel injection system for better fuel delivery and comes with selectable automatic or a 5-speed manual gearbox. The scooter is good for a 0-100 kmph sprint of 7.3 seconds while covering the first 60 kmph in 3.1 seconds. It returns a company claimed mileage of 19.23 kmpl and gets a top speed of 185 kmph. It gets a kerb weight of 275 kg, with a 15 litre of a fuel tank.
Braking & Suspension
The brakes halting this huge beast are dual floating 260 mm, 2-piston caliper Nissin disc brakes for the front and a single piston 250 mm single disc brake at the rear. ABS has been provided on the scooter, making it more practical than many of the sports bikes in its segment. It gets 41 mm telescopic forks for the front suspension whereas the rear suspension is swing arm type with adjustable spring preload. The front wheel measures 120/70R15 whereas the rear wheel is 160/60R14.
Expected Shades & Price
The expected price for this powerful scooter is INR 12,00,000. It seems very high as Suzuki plans to bring the scooter as a CBU. The shade expected for the Burgan 650 is Metallic Mat Fibroin Grey.
