Royal Enfield Classic 350 (BS6 Model)
About
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 is a modern iteration of a classic design that has been a staple in Indian motorcycling for decades. Powered by a new 349cc air-cooled J-series engine, it produces 20.2 BHP and 27 Nm of torque, making it suitable for both city traffic and highway cruising. The bike features a 5-speed gearbox and lacks a slipper clutch, but the gearing is well-suited for urban and highway riding. The suspension setup is well-balanced, providing a comfortable ride over various road conditions, and the 170 mm ground clearance is ideal for Indian roads. The Classic 350 BS6 also boasts improved fit and finish, with premium switchgear and a stylish design that includes a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a signature exhaust note. While it may not be perfect, with issues like sticking throttle and less-than-ideal braking, it remains a compelling choice for those who appreciate its unique blend of heritage and modernity.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 is a significant improvement over its predecessors, offering a blend of nostalgia and modern refinement. The new J-series engine is smoother and more refined, reducing the notorious vibrations that were a hallmark of earlier models. The bikes comfort is exemplary, with well-balanced suspension and plush seats that make both city rides and long tours enjoyable. However, there are some drawbacks, such as the lack of a fuel gauge, occasional sticking throttle issues, and braking performance that could be sharper. Despite these, the Classic 350 remains a joy to ride, with its signature thumpy exhaust note and stable handling. For those who value the classic design and the riding experience it offers, this bike is a solid choice, but it may not be the best fit for those seeking cutting-edge technology or precise braking.
Price
In India, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 is priced competitively, with the ex-showroom price starting at around Rs. 2.15 lakh in Delhi. On-road prices, including taxes and other charges, can range from Rs. 2.7 lakh to Rs. 3 lakh, depending on the state and local taxes. The Chrome variant, which comes with additional aesthetic features like hand-painted tank embellishments, is priced slightly higher. While the price may seem steep for some, the quality of finish, the comfort, and the overall riding experience justify the cost. For those who are willing to invest in a bike that combines heritage with modern improvements, the Classic 350 BS6 offers good value for money.

The top variants, Dark and Chrome, will also come with LED indicators, adjustable brake and clutch levers, and the Tripper navigation system as standard. The Dark variant will come with alloy wheels and tubeless tires as standard, while these will be optional for other variants. All models will feature a gear position indicator on the display and a USB-C charger. I think this variety in variants will help cater to a broader range of customers.

The 2024 Royal Enfield Classic 350 will continue to use the same J-Series engine and hardware components as its predecessor but will see aesthetic changes, including LED headlamps, pilot lamps, and a USB-C charging port. This move is expected to address issues faced by owners who previously modified their bikes, potentially voiding their warranties. I believe this is a smart move by Royal Enfield to enhance user experience.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 01:10 AM
The mileage of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 is quite respectable, especially considering its engine size and the type of riding it is designed for. In city riding conditions, owners have reported an average mileage of around 32-33 kml, which is commendable given the bikes weight and power output. On the highway, the mileage can improve slightly, but it generally hovers around the same range. The 13-litre fuel tank provides a riding range of approximately 420 km, which is adequate for both daily commuting and occasional long trips. While it may not be the most fuel-efficient bike in its class, the Classic 350 BS6 strikes a good balance between performance and economy. User Reviews for Royal Enfield Classic (2019)
Reviews Submitted by Maxabout Community
I bought my All-New Royal Enfield Classic 350 GunMetal Grey with Dual ABS last month. I have been driven almost 1750 km with mileage of 43 Km/ltr till the date and I love the ride like BULLET. Till the date I didn't face any issue in riding or in performance in this bike. Many people complain about the disk break issue or about the performance issue, I can say I didn't face any such issue till the date.
The performance of any bike depends on the maintenance of it and I am really thankful to SARABHAI MOTORS Ahmedabad for such all anytime support and services.
I simply recommendation this bike for Cruiser Riders like Bullet lovers GO for It.
Best Features: Dual ABS and Cruse Ride
Pros: Performance wise no issue
Cons: In India too tough to maintain Matte Finish colour
Bike resting at dealership and no solution to the problem, even when it was brand new.
Best Features: Everything feels wrong
Pros: I am fed up in just few days
Cons: Not running like I expected
