Friday, 04 October 2024 07:14 PM SG Corporate Mobility, the parent company of LML, has filed a lawsuit against Bajaj Auto in the Delhi High Court over the use of the Freedom trademark for Bajajs new CNG motorcycle. LML claims that the Freedom name, which was used for their popular motorcycle in 2002, retains significant goodwill and reputation associated with LML. I think this legal battle could be a significant hurdle for Bajajs new product.
Thursday, 04 July 2024 10:22 AM Bajaj Auto launched the Freedom 125, the worlds first CNG-powered motorcycle, in India at a starting price of Rs 95,000. The bike features a 125-cc engine and a dual fuel tank with a 2-kg CNG cylinder and a 2-litre petrol tank. This innovative technology could revolutionize the commuter segment, but the trademark dispute might affect its market reception.
Saturday, 15 June 2024 11:12 AM LML, under its new parent company SG Corporate Mobility, is planning to make a comeback in the Indian market as an electric vehicle manufacturer. They have unveiled three electric two-wheelers, including the Moonshot electric motorcycle, Star electric scooter, and Orion electric bike, with plans to launch them soon. The Freedom label is expected to be part of their new product lineup.
Monday, 15 August 2022 07:24 AM SG Corporate Mobility acquired the Freedom and LML trademarks in 2021 after taking over LML. The company has been working on relaunching the LML brand and expanding its product offerings, including a strategic partnership with Saera Electric Auto to use their manufacturing facilities in Bawal, Haryana. This move indicates a strong commitment to reviving the LML brand.
Friday, 15 March 2002 03:31 AM The LML Freedom, introduced in 2002, was a highly successful motorcycle in India, known for its durability, style, and performance. It sold over 1.8 lakh units in the first year after its launch and remained popular until the brand was discontinued in 2017. The legacy of this bike is a key factor in the current trademark dispute.

Which one is the best - LML Freedom vs. TVS Star City Plus vs. Honda CD110 vs. Mahindra Centuro?
29 December 2022 05:48
The best one out of all the above comes out to be the Mahindra Centuro, which has came up with its new disc brake avatar. The bike features a decent design and competitive power values. The 106.7 cc engine on the Mahindra Centuro brings 8.5 BHP @ 7500 rpm and 8.5 NM @ 5500 rpm. The bike returns a mileage of 60+ kmpl and the price has also been kept competitively at 51,250. This makes it the most affordable bike with a disc brake. The bike has a 12.7 liters of fuel tank and weighs 120 kg only. The front disc brake not just makes the bike safe, but also increases the attraction factor of the bike. Its 173 mm ground clearance makes it the best choice for Indian roads.

This is an amazing bike perfect for any type of rider. Unfortunately, there is no showroom near us, so we cannot purchase another. However, this bike is incredibly smooth to drive and is easy to handle. The seating is incredibly comfortable and the mileage is quite good. In short, this bike offers an excellent combination of mileage, comfort, and pickup. I highly recommend it!

It's a Great Family Bike and I'm Glad to Have It.

Back in December 2005, my father purchased a secondhand LML Freedom DX. It had just been out of the showroom, having only travelled 600km, and was manufactured in December 2004. Fast-forward 13 years and my bike has covered a total of 48000km - I use it every day, travelling 25km on average. At the time, the Freedom DX was the hottest bike on the Indian market, and it still looks great after all this time. The shock absorbers were fantastic when I first got it, though they don't work as well these days. Despite this, it's still a comfortable ride and it has quite a bit of power - although it only averages 45km per litre. Its maintenance costs are low, and parts are still available, though not as readily as for other models. The sad thing is that there are no Freedom service centres in my area, and the resale value is low due to lack of demand. But for everyday use, it's a great family bike and I'm glad to have it.
