The Kinetic Flyte, once a part of Mahindras scooter lineup, has been out of production for several years. The decision to discontinue it was largely due to poor sales and stiff competition in the market. I think this move was necessary for Mahindra to focus on more viable models.

Before its discontinuation, the Kinetic Flyte was one of the first new models launched by Mahindra after acquiring Kinetic. It was a 125cc scooter known for its stylish and practical design, but it failed to gain significant market traction. I believe the lack of demand for 125cc scooters at that time was a major factor.

The Kinetic Flyte had a history dating back to when the company was under Kinetics ownership. It was later acquired by the Mahindra Group, which attempted to revamp the model but ultimately decided to discontinue it along with other underperforming scooters like the Kine. This move was part of Mahindras strategy to streamline its two-wheeler division.

The discontinuation of the Kinetic Flyte and other models like the Kine, Pantero, and Duro DZ marked a significant shift in Mahindras two-wheeler strategy. The company was facing declining sales and needed to reevaluate its product lineup to stay competitive in the Indian market. I think this was a brave but necessary step for Mahindra.
