About
The Mahindra Flyte is a 125cc scooter that was designed to offer a blend of style, convenience, and performance. Powered by a 124.6cc four-stroke engine linked to a CVT gearbox, it produces 8.04bhp at 7,000rpm and 9Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. The scooter features an external front fuel fill, a 4-in-1 anti-theft key, and telescopic front suspension, which enhance its usability and security. It also boasts a large underseat storage compartment and a comfortable, well-cushioned seat. Available in four attractive colors Pearl White, Red Oomph, Lavender Groove, and Black Mystique the Mahindra Flyte aimed to appeal to a wide range of buyers. However, its performance and mileage issues limited its appeal, making it less popular compared to other scooters in its segment. Despite this, it remains a stylish and feature-rich option for those looking for a budget-friendly 125cc scooter.

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Mahindra Flyte, though marketed under the Kinetic brand initially, is a scooter that had promising features but ultimately failed to capture the markets attention. Its 125cc engine, producing 8.04bhp and 9Nm of torque, is decent but not exceptional. The scooters design, with its external front fuel fill and anti-theft 4-in-1 key, is convenient and stylish. However, the performance did not live up to the expectations of many buyers, with some users reporting that it felt more like a 75cc scooter in terms of power. The large underseat storage and comfortable saddle are positives, but the overall package was not enough to compete strongly against other popular scooters like the Honda Activa 125 and Suzuki Swish 125. Despite its affordability and good maintenance record, the Mahindra Flytes lackluster performance and poor mileage perception made it less desirable.
Price
The Mahindra Flyte was priced competitively in the Indian market, with an ex-showroom price of around Rs. 43,300 to Rs. 45,610, depending on the location and any additional accessories. On-road prices would typically include registration, insurance, and other local taxes, pushing the total cost to around Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 55,000. Given its features and the segment it belongs to, the pricing was reasonable, but the value proposition was weakened by its performance and mileage issues. For buyers looking for a budget-friendly 125cc scooter, the price was attractive, but the overall value was compromised by the scooters shortcomings.
Mileage
Wednesday, 20 November 2024 03:34 AM
The Mahindra Flytes mileage is a critical factor for potential buyers, especially in India where fuel efficiency is a top priority. According to ARAI, the scooter offers a mileage of around 45 kmpl, but real-world experiences suggest it may not always live up to this figure. Users have reported mileage ranging from 35 to 40 kmpl, which is decent but not exceptional for a 125cc scooter. This variability in mileage can impact running costs, making it important for buyers to weigh the scooters fuel efficiency against their specific needs and usage patterns.

Kinetic Green Flyte 125 Discussion
Kinetic Flyte gives very low mileage and poor service.
I am owner of Mahindar Flyte, it is very nice except the fuel tank. Since the petrol tank is placed under the floor of footer, it is easily broken for almost all vehicles. And the replacement from the company is very difficult.
