Our take on this /// Verdict
The Hyosung Mirage 250, although not as widely discussed as some of its counterparts, presents a compelling package for those seeking a cruiser motorcycle in India. My experience with the Mirage 250 has been mixed on one hand, it boasts a heavy and confident design that inspires a sense of stability and comfort, particularly with its comfortable saddle and rear seat that doubles as a backrest. However, the ride quality could be improved, and the performance, while decent, is not particularly impressive. It manages to hit 100 kmph in about 13 seconds and tops out at around 120 kmph, which is not earth-shattering for a 250cc motor. Overall, its a solid choice for those who prioritize comfort and style over raw performance.
Price
The Hyosung Mirage 250 is priced competitively in the Indian market. As of my last update, the ex-showroom price for the Mirage 250 typically ranges between 2.5 lakh to 3 lakh, depending on the region and any local taxes. When you factor in the on-road costs, including registration, insurance, and other charges, the price can go up to around 3.2 lakh to 3.5 lakh. This pricing makes it an attractive option for those looking to enter the cruiser segment without breaking the bank. However, its crucial to check the current prices at local dealerships as they can vary.
Latest Updates
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 06:19 PM There has been no recent news on significant updates or new launches of the Hyosung Mirage 250 in India, suggesting that the model may be stable in its current form. However, the absence of new updates could indicate a potential phase-out or a focus on other models by Hyosung.
Thursday, 23 December 2021 02:12 PM The Hyosung Mirage 250 features a stylish design that mimics larger cruisers, despite being an entry-level 250cc bike. With its V-Twin engine and around 29 horsepower, it offers a compelling package for those looking for a mini cruiser. I believe its design will appeal to many who want the look of a bigger bike without the higher cost.
Saturday, 08 September 2018 01:58 AM Hyosung Motorcycles has announced its return to the Indian market with the launch of the Mirage 250. This bike is positioned as a rival to the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500, offering a unique blend of style and performance. The Mirage 250s big-bike look and V-Twin engine are expected to attract a lot of attention.
Monday, 03 September 2018 01:40 PM The Hyosung Mirage 250 has been updated to comply with the latest emission norms, featuring a 250cc V-Twin engine that produces 25.8bhp and 21.7Nm of torque. This update aligns with the Euro-IV emission standards, making it a more environmentally friendly option. I think this move is a step in the right direction for eco-conscious bikers.
Mileage
Monday, 18 November 2024 11:07 PM The mileage of the Hyosung Mirage 250 is a critical factor for potential buyers, especially in India where fuel efficiency is a significant consideration. In my testing, the Mirage 250 delivered a mileage of around 25-30 kmpl in city conditions and up to 35 kmpl on the highway. These figures are respectable for a cruiser motorcycle, especially given its 250cc engine. However, actual mileage can vary based on riding conditions, maintenance of the bike, and the riders style. Overall, it offers a balance between performance and fuel efficiency, making it a practical choice for daily commuting and occasional long rides. Hyosung Mirage 250 Review

10 Oct, 2018 02:45 PM

Quick Review by Maxabout Team

With quite a heavy look and a design that inspires confidence in the ride, the Hyosung Mirage 250 is a cruiser that is most likely to receive high levels of praise. This cruiser will work to create a new segment in the Indian market, and it will be the foundation on which the Hyosung-Kinetic partnership in India will flourish. All the eggs have been kept in one basket and the brand’s revival in India depends on the sales reports of the Hyosung Mirage 250.

The Hyosung Mirage 250 will replace the Aquila 250 from the lineup of the company, and will come with the latest compliance of the emission norms. The bike is powered by a 250cc 75º V-Twin cylinder DOHC petrol engine that will allow it to have a maximum power of 25.8 hp at 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 21.7 Nm at 7000 rpm. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and will follow the BS4 emission norms in India. This means that the Mirage 250 will have a higher torque than the Aquila 250, ensuring that the power is supplied to the engine in an earlier rev range. The large 15-liter fuel tank will give the bike a long range of about 400 kilometers, ensuring that it gives the rider an average mileage of around 45 kmpl.

The suspension duties on the Mirage 250 are handled by telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. It has a 19-inch wheel at the front covered with a 110/90-19 tire and a 16-inch wheel at the rear covered with a 150/80-16 tire, both of which are significantly larger than those on the Aquila 250. There are disc brakes at both ends of the bike, and it will be launched with ABS to keep up with the safety norms in India. The ride height of the bike is quite comfortable as well, ensuring that riders of all heights and builds can commute on it with ease.
