USER OPINION

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Honda CBR400R ABS is a compelling addition to the sub-500cc fully-faired motorcycle segment in India, although its launch in the country is still speculative. This bike boasts a 399cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, producing 45.4 horsepower and 38 Nm of torque, making it a potent contender. The lightweight diamond frame and Showa USD forks ensure responsive handling, suitable for various road conditions. Features like dual-channel ABS, Honda Selectable Torque Control, and a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity enhance its appeal. However, the absence of a confirmed launch date in India leaves potential buyers in limbo. If priced competitively, around INR 2.8-4.25 lakhs, it could be a strong value-for-money option, offering a blend of performance, handling, and safety features that could attract both seasoned riders and those looking to upgrade from smaller machines.
Price
The pricing of the Honda CBR400R ABS in India is speculative but crucial for its market viability. If launched, the expected ex-showroom price could range between INR 2.8 lakhs to INR 4.25 lakhs, depending on the features and variants available. On-road prices would likely be higher, adding costs such as registration, insurance, and other local taxes, potentially pushing the price to around INR 3.5 lakhs to INR 5 lakhs. This pricing would place it in direct competition with the KTM RC390, Yamaha R3, and Aprilia RS 457. Given Hondas reputation and the bikes specifications, it could offer a competitive edge if priced correctly, making it an attractive option for buyers seeking a balance of performance and affordability.
Mileage
Tuesday, 19 November 2024 12:07 PM The mileage of the Honda CBR400R ABS is a critical factor for Indian buyers, who are often concerned about running costs. Honda claims a mileage of around 37.4 kmpl under standard riding conditions, which is respectable for a sporty motorcycle in this segment. This mileage, combined with its 17-liter fuel tank, suggests that the bike can offer a good balance between performance and fuel efficiency, making it a viable choice for daily commuting as well as occasional long rides.

uff. Duke 390 came out at a price of 1.75 lakhs. So the price should be around 2-2.15 lakhs. If not, then it is overpriced for sure

Dont Know which one Honda will launch in India first.. 400CC or 500CC and what will be the expected Price.. KTM has launched 390CC in 1.8L Ex-Show Room Price. Honda needs to reduce further in Price to capture the Indian Market. Lets Hope for the best.

Hope it is an R bike not a street bike. CBR 250 and 150 are street bikes and are an utter disappointment in terms of looks and performance.
