Honda CB Shine Drum CBS Review

Quick Review by Maxabout Team

The Honda CB Shine ranks up quite high when the Honda bikes are listed according to their popularity. This daily commuter comes with the assurance of a good build quality from Honda, and a good service network for all your after-purchase needs. The good mileage and the low price of the bike makes it quite economical on the pocket as well. The design of the bike is quite simple, with major focus being on its practicality rather than looks. The Honda CB Shine is powered by a 124.7cc Air cooled, 4 Stroke, SI petrol engine that allows the bike to have a maximum power of 10.57 bhp at 7500 rpm and a peak torque of 10.30 Nm at 5500 rpm. With the 4-speed manual transmission that the engine comes mated to, the Honda CB Shine is able to produce an average mileage of around 60 kmpl, often going as up as 65 kmpl on the highways.

The long seat and Honda’s tried and tested stress-free engine on the bike makes it quite comfortable for long commutes. The entire bike is built around an Advanced Design Diamond frame and the suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a spring loaded hydraulic at the rear. There are 130mm drum brakes at both ends of the bike with the combi-braking technology, and the front and the rear of the bike are supported by 80/100-18 tires on 18-inch spoke wheels. Both the tires are tubeless. The instrument cluster is quite crisp and clear with its analogue design. Overall, the the Honda CB Shine is quite a reliable commuter for those who want a good mileage and practicality out of their bikes. With the low seat height and comfortable riding position, you can extend your commutes to great distances on the bike and never feel uncomfortable.
